I also rarely write reviews, but If I could give the Watergardens store a ZERO today I would. Tried to call the store back after my negative experience to discuss with staff directly.their store phone was out of order (confirmed by Watergardens centre management).

So, on a weekend with head office closed, I'm writing here to address the issue to record the date & time to verify staff on duty.

Anyway, I took a digital Casio watch in for a new battery (Saturday 30MAY20 @ approximately 11: 30am), which has never been worn, still in original package from 2007 (part of a collection).

I was told a highly inflated price, which i was agreed to pay.as i wanted the convenience of a so called "professional" to get the job done correctly and fast.
I returned 15 minutes later and was told:

"Sorry, we cant replace the battery because the watch was damaged inside.the internal LCD screen was cracked and broken".

I was very surprised, as this watch had never been worn. I didn't ask any further questions, thanked the staff member for trying, took the watch and returned home.

Coming from a military avionics background I decided I'd inspect the watch and see if i could determine what had caused the LCD display screen to crack. Surprise, surprise, there was ZERO internal damage.apart from the newly acquired scratches and bent components where they had tried to brutally remove the old battery!

I went and purchased a $4 battery from Coles and bingo, fixed! Clearly the staff member didn't understand that you also needed to reset the watch (2 second hold) ; "AC" - All clear to the battery (-ve).

So. I'm annoyed, not because they couldn't fix it, not because they tried to charge me a super high price.and not because they butchered the watch internally trying to remove the old battery!

I'm angry because I was blatantly lied to and treated like a fool!

The watch was not damaged, broken, cracked and ready for the bin. The truth is that the staff member in question was not skilled, educated or trained well enough to replace the battery.and was not honest enough to engage with me to explain his findings. Instead he just made up a story and lied to me.

The honesty and integrity displayed by the individual that examined my watch was clearly non-existent. Sadly, i think this is the MOST important attribute to have when representing a business.

How can you trust this store with your valuable goods?

I would like someone to contact me ASAP so I can discuss this experience. Surely we can use this bad/negative experience and turn it into a positive learning example?

Management, I look forward to your reply.

I rarely write reviews but felt I should granted the circumstance of my visit.

I visited Mister Minit to get a rare key cut for a specific car, it was cut incorrectly so I revisited the store. I asked about what my guarantee was for the key, the gentlemen rudely responded with “we don’t guarantee keys unless they’re our own, we don’t guarantee keys from eBay” Not only was this an uneducated assumption, it was something that should have been stated prior to cutting the key. I understand the policy. But, as I mentioned it should have been stated when I first explained to the lady that the key was exceptionally rare and I was extremely lucky to get my hands on it.

After being spoken to like I was 7 years of age and a second cut the key did work. That’s the only reason I’m giving three stars instead of one.

The customer service was terrible from the gentleman who was cutting the key but the lady was extremely polite so I guess there’s that.

Asked for a new battery for a Ford Falcon remote battery Quoted me $25
Went to coles and bought 2 battery's for $5
And it's a 2 minute job to replace.
Can't believe they can get away with this unbelievable pricing.
Please be aware.

The staff, the owner, is so arrogant, when we genuinely ask for advice on how he can help to replace our lock, just bluntly say we cannot do it without asking the specific keys and lock we were after, we went to another lock smith shop, they can help us in a few minutes.
Never to come back to this kiosk again, price is high and extremely arrogant.

Took one of my shoes in to have the heel repaired. Not sure if it was repairable but the man that served me did an amazing job and as he did not take very long to do, he refused to charge me!
Just brilliant! Great service:)

Fantastic service. Had some technical issues with cutting a car key and remote, but Darren was able to persist with it until fixed. Well run

I was served by Mehmet today and he was very helpful in fixing a piece of jewellery that a number of other jewellery stores / specialist stores would not even look at! Very professional and obviously takes customer service seriously! Need more people like Mehmet!

Avoid.
Got my watch batteries replaced here. Upon returning home checked the back casing and noticed 1 screw was not as flush as the other 3. Managed to tighten it almost 3 more full turns. Obviously remembering to tighten 4 screws after loosening 4 screws was too much for someone. Also, do yourself a favour and do not get a pressure test done. It's a scam. All watches will fail this so called test if they have their back casing removed and not resealed to factory standard. I just saved you $40. Your welcome.

Worst and dodgiest place. Go there one day to get a quote. Come back the NEXT day it's a higher price.

So rude, especially that scrawny old guy.

I would give a negative star review if i could. They got asked to do a specific job and they did something completely different and ruined my shoes. Wouldnt go back there even if it was free!
