Mister Margherita Pizza South Melbourne reviews
76 Delicious Italian feast @mister.margherita where great quality pizza, pasta, salads and drinks make it such a worthwhile dining experience.
What we had:
Gambero pizza,
Rocket and pear salad,
Gnocchi pollo,
Aperol spritz
Mojito
I absolutely loved the pizza, the thin crust and the freshness and flavours in it were so fantastic. Also enjoyed the gnocchi and its comforting taste of it. Whereas the salad was so fresh, crunchy and yum. Highly recommend these delicacies which also comes with generous serving sizes.
The cocktails were refreshing and of good quality as well. The vibe and ambiance is so charming and you will have a good time here. The owner and the staff are all very welcoming, friendly and kind folks.
Ordered take away pizza- they were pretty chewy, barely any sauce or cheese on them both. Not worth to spend $55 on two small pizzas with a coke and garlic bread. Disappointed.
This place exceeded expectations. Pizza in South Melbourne can be really hit and miss, this place is definitely the best. As good as the Pizza in Italy. I recommend the Margherita.
They serve delicious pasta and a tasty pizza, a great little Italian restaurant. The staff are also friendly and the prices are reasonable.
The food I ordered in this restaurant to be delivered was good in taste in my opinion. I had a cheese focaccia and a pizza Margherita. For my personal taste both of them could have been a bit longer in the oven to get a bit more crispy, especially the focaccia. Nevertheless I was satisfied with my order.
Outstanding customer service - staff were super attentive and thoughtful. Thank you for a delightful evening.
Loved the Roquette and pear salad. The Chips with herbs were addictive. The home made hot sauce on the pizza was great.
Loved the atmosphere, very cute and cosy.
As I'm a Nutella fan - the desert calzone made with nutella, ricotta and berries was a nice way to close off the evening.
One of the few places to eat around the Shrine of Remembrance, we found this place on EatClub and so we had lunch here. On entering, the first thing I saw was a chef busy kneading a pizza dough, and the other staff whizzing about the place, taking and serving orders. The place is so cozy, and it draws you in.
On placing our orders, Penne Pollo (Chicken Breast, Roasted Capsicum, Artichokes,
Creamy Pesto Sauce, $26), a bottle of Bundaberg Lemon, Lime& Bitters ($4), and my friend had a Margherita vegetarian pizza (San Marzano Tomato, Mozzarella, Fior Di Latte, Provolone, Basil, E. V. Olive Oilo, $21).
After waiting for what felt like forever, the bowl of pasta arrived first with the drink follwrd by the pizza. I really enjoyed the pasta. The sauce had a deep herby flavour to it and owing to its thickness elevated the whole pasta. Another thing, the pasta looked amazing. The chicken pieces sometimes felt lost in the pasta and sauce, but the highlight of the dish was the creamy sauce, which I really cherished.
Coming to the pizza, it was a thin crust one, and my friend liked it, although not as good as some other low-priced pizzas elsewhere.
The ambiance of this place is just the best! It really felt like an authentic Italian restaurant with delicious food. Although the prices are quite high, the quality of the food kind of makes up for it.
The staff were great, and this place is a busy one! There are tables outside for dining, for those interested in it. The waiting time was quite long, and it'd be great to have it cut short with a speedier service.
Nonetheless, if you're in South Melbourne, this place is worth trying out for Italian food.
Nothing better than having a warm pizza for a cold night and that’s exactly what we did on 22nd June, we got:
Margherita Pizza
Mister Margherita does his margherita right! This was soo delicious, we love the thin crispy dough - another different style we appreciate as it’s very easy to eat Great amount of cheese on top!
Spaghetti Marinara
Another yummy dish, the pasta was cooked nicely and the marinara sauced coated every inch. A bit of a spice kick which added a nice flavor.
Ravioli Funghi
If you love creamy pasta, this is it! The truffle was a nice touch without being overwhelming, the spinach & ricotta filling was a nice complement to the sauce.
Sticky Date Pudding
W. O. W what a pudding! Very massive but not dense at all, the butterscotch sauce oh myyy great way to end the meal!
Overall, the ambience is nice (good chill music), the service was quick and efficient, the portion size was perfect. Great place for locals to do a takeaway/delivery, you can even order ahead!
If you're looking for the best pizza in town, look no further than Mister Margherit. The quality of their ingredients is evident in every bite, and their attention to detail in creating unique flavor combinations is truly impressive. It's no wonder they have such a loyal customer base!
Went here for dinner on Saturday night. Despite booking ahead, we arrived to discover they had not been aware of our booking and asked us "can you bang out a meal in 30 minutes? ". Not great response.
Thankfully, they managed to squeeze us into a small table however it was next to a group of ten teenagers who were yelling and screaming, celebrating a birthday party with games. Aboslutely chaotic for the rest of the visitors in the restaurant. Staff did nothing to tame the group despite the noise. We couldn't even hear eachother speak.
One toilet for the whole restaurant which was in a state.also no hand towels or hand dryer? Just weird.
Must say, the pizza was amazing and is reasonably priced.
I would just say if you're looking for something with a nicer ambience/vibe and good service, steer clear.
Would probably just do takeaway next time.
I wasn't sure how to rate this. I ordered take away but my container wasn't even half full. The pasta was delicious but it's frustrating paying $26 and having to make a second dinner. Not sure if I'd go back. Maybe eating in is better.
Walking into Mister Margherita, it's like stepping into a warm hug of flavours. Situated just a hop and a skip from the Wells St/Park St tram station, this spot is as convenient as it is delicious.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles that made us feel right at home. We started off with the focaccia - oh my, what a treat! It was followed by the spaghetti marinara with a hint of spice, which we simply loved.
Then came the Margherita pizza. Let's just say, they've done their namesake justice. Thin, crispy, and just the right amount of cheese. Absolutely delightful!
Our taste buds were further treated to the Ravioli Funghi, a creamy delight, and the Sticky Date Pudding, a light yet indulgent end to our meal.
I spotted a seafood pizza that piqued my curiosity, and rumours of an out-of-this-world gnocchi dish were floating around. Let's not forget the incredible service and the chill vibe, making Mister Margherita the perfect spot for a cosy dinner.
I can't wait to go back and try that pear cider I've heard so much about. Until then, I'm left with a lovely memory of a fantastic meal at Mister Margherita. Cheers to many more!
Have had a few takeaways from Mister Margherita. Despite the thin base, I found the pizza base a little soft and soggy every time. Overall though, pretty decent pizzas especially if you buy at a discount through eat club.
Great tasting pizza, bursting with flavour. Cheesy Margherita with right amount of basil. Nice chewy crust. Just a tad on the smaller side in size, but otherwise pretty good. Quick delivery through Uber Eats.
Great Quality pizza, freshly made and you can see how they make it. Many options to eat, not just pizza. Best pizza shop everrr!
We had the most delicious pizzas and calzones here along with the tasty desserts. But what really stood out was the service. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating on arrival whilst the waitresses ensured we were well looked after with food and beverages. Thankyou for an enjoyable dining experience.
Delicious oven-fired pizzas! The atmosphere is really nice too and staff is super friendly. I have eaten many times and never been disappointed!
The pizzas here are absolutely delicious. They use quality ingredients and are prepared with love. Highly recommend their Salami pizza. Just quality. It's a bit on the pricey side but you definitely get what you pay for. Their penne pollo is also impressive.
Excellent place to hang out and have a delicious pizza and pasta. We’ve been there quite a few times and have always enjoyed the seafood, pizzas, and pastas there. Hands down to chef Sam, the best and most friendly person ever
This place has incredible pizza:)
The dough and sauce were great I am not usually one to eat the crust but here I had them first.
The service was ok and the venue is quaint but my friend and I sat for an hour enjoying the music and vibe of the place.
If your looking for good pizza look no further it will satisfy.
After five years they know what they are doing:)
