Miss Viet reviews
70Have been a few times now but this was our first lunch. Had Crispy Chicken Rice Paper Rolls, Flat Rice Noodles with Beef and Black Bean Sauce and Gluten Free Salt and Pepper Calamari. Everything was perfect!
Fantastic food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere. Would definitely eat there again.
We had a magnificent lunch at Miss Viet today. The chef Fung is not only brilliant at cooking but she is a very pleasant person to deal with. The owner is lovely too. I highly recommend this lovely place in Cheltenham. We had Prawn Spring Rolls, (yumm), Mixed Dumplings, (amazing) and Seafood noodles, sooo good.
Miss Viet is the most amazing place to come, the service is incredible, so welcoming, so accommodating of our needs. The food is delicious and the staff are always so friendly. We tell everyone to come here. The decor and restaurant are so cosy. We will be back every week for our Pho Fridays
I meet friends here every Friday for dinner - it’s our regular spot now. The food is great and the service fantastic. It’s great to have such good Vietnamese food local.
Love this place, such a nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and the food is the best Vietnamese I’ve ever had in Australia! My new regular.
The food is great the portion size is big.
The prawn dumplings were amazing and the fried vegetable dumplings were great as well. The pulled pork bar buns were full of flavour will definitely be back again.
Food was ok. Went there twice. 1st take away got noodles then 2nd eat in. Got crispy chicken but didn't realise it had bones in which I don't like. Maybe should provide pictures of the food.
A modern Vietnamese restaurant, wonderful flavors, fresh food, helpful waitresses and pleasant owners, affordable prices, we will return for sure.
Had lunch on a quiet afternoon. The food has great taste and nice presentation. It's also very adaptable to your needs. The service was friendly and welcoming
Great food and excellent customer service.
Our first time eating here (Mother’s Day), we will definitely be returning.
There exists a certain magical quality, that cannot be described, but can only be felt:
The ability of some rare individuals, to make you feel as if you have known them your entire life.
Carolyn and Phil of Miss Viet, possess such quality -
it translating loudly into the food they made.
Their warm hospitality reminded me of the golden ages of dining - where the experience began from the second you enter the door, until the moment you leave.
And from showing us to our table, until eventually stepping out the door, the wonderful Carolyn maintained an unflinching generosity and authenticity that the now-jaded hospitality industry sorely lacks. So much so, I might well have pulled up a chair for her amongst my family. Phil, whose some 20 years in the kitchen having not wearied him, rather possessed such skill and love for his craft, that it seasoned every mouthful of all 15 dishes we ordered. I found myself on many occasions, loudly articulating my confusion, of how a humble "salad" could "taste so good"? !? (An unbelievably foreign concept to me).
All in all - no amount of gold leaf and caviar in the world, can beat good, honest, quality food. And Miss Viet was - in whole - such a memorable experience that I could not award higher praise.
[5/5 stars]
I ordered their egg noodles takeaway, the portion of their egg noodle for takeaway is half their usual dine in portion at the same price! I wonder how many times they got away with this over the years. Overcharging customers for lesser noodle portion in their tiny noodle box meant for takeaway.
I saw a lovely elderly couple enjoying fired calamari and their drinks. Other than the couple the restaurant was empty. No staff to be seen, I walked all the way through the restaurant past the kitchen to the restrooms. I heard a faint “hello” as I closed the door. As I came back through the kitchen I slowed my walk and hovered at the door before I was asked if I needed help.
After some small banter I was served my wine.
(Thank you for the extra pour)
Unfortunately I was served a dirty glass and sat at a sticky bench.
I cannot comment on the food as I had not ordered any.
*Firstly staff should not be coming in if they are ill in any way shape or form. That’s food safety 101.
The fact that you have tried to justify my experience through excuses instead of owning responsibility and apologising for the experience I received has lost you a future customer. The appropriate response would be to apologise for the dreadful time I had and invite me back for an improved experience. Was never looking for freebies and was only looking for decent customer service at a nice venue as I’m sure many people would be. If I could degrade this to 0 stars I would but unfortunately 1 is as low as we can go. I wish you the best of luck for your future but to anyone that attends your venue I hope they’re treated far better than I was.
Meals were very generous, we arrived without a booking on Chinese New Year and they found a spot for us. Service was great.
Will definitely go back.
I ordered the chiew mien noodles with beef and black bean sauce. It was very good and I did not have to wait long.
Our first visit to this little gem and it didn't disappoint. We ordered 2 chefs combinations, meat lovers and roast duck, also vegetable and tofu noodles. We all loved our meals, so delicious, generous serves and great prices. Service was super quick and staff were really friendly. Definitely will be coming back on a regular basis.
The rice noodles with satay beef and vegetables was magnificent. The pork dumplings and spring rolls are always fabulous. Great place to eat in or have delivered.
Had a mid-week lunch and was quite impressed! The furnishings and contemporary decor (with striking murals) as well as the ambient music gave a chilled-out vibe. The pho was fantastic - very beefy and flavourful. The gentleman that served me and my husband was friendly and attentive, even asking us how sweet we like our Vietnamese iced coffee before making it.
I’d say I’d come again but unfortunately I’m moving interstate! Learn from my mistake and visit sooner rather than later!
Had takeaway last night. Awful! Beef noodle and husband had pork noodles. Only. 3 small pieces of meat in both! Pretty appalling for the price!
