Mirchi Indian Restaurant

Came here for the first time tonight and the food was absolutely delicious. I am a huge fan of spicy food and when I didn't find the vindaloo hot enough the chef came out with some delicious chilli's to add. Will definitely be back. The chilli chicken and the vindaloo were definitely standouts! Yum!

My wife and I just dined at Mirchi for our first dinner out together since having a baby (thanks mother in law). We were really impressed by the freshly cooked and spiced meals that we ordered. We had the Fish Curry and Karahi Paneer on recommendation from the most hospitable owner. These were absolutely delicious. This is definitely some of the best Indian/Punjabi food that I have eaten in Melbourne. Be patient because the dishes are cooked up on the spot. And be ready for fresh ingredients and rich and comfortable complex flavours. We also had the cumin rice, wholemeal paratha and garlic naan. Scrumptious!

Have only been here once, but the food was exceptional. Will ad to review after I've had a few more dishes.

Ambience is good and so is the service but the food didn’t taste great. The paneer chilli entree was good however the main course was disappointing. The vindaloo did not taste authentic. The lamb was tough and not slow cooked and the biryani was just dry rice with dry chicken. I went to this restaurant with high hopes but the food did not deliver to my expectations. Will visit this restaurant only if they change their chef who can cook meat properly.

To the owner who has responded to my review - I don’t like wasting food so packed the left overs and yes, had lamb left from left overs which had to be thrown away the next day unfortunately as it turned dry and hard once microwaved. As far as fingerbowl is concerned, you should serve it!

Mirchi is my absolute favourite restaurant!
This cozy restaurant has ticked all the boxes hospitable hosts, finger licking delicious food, great variety of unique drinks and desserts are served with such beautiful presentation. You can clearly see the cook’s passion for food and his desire to serve you the best!
No matter how far it is from our place but we cannot resist and will have to keep coming back to taste the entire menu.
Not to forget their beautiful and cozy function room perfect for close knit gatherings.

We went in a group if 12 and tried various varieties of entry and mains. Each dish was super delicious, flavourful and unique. My favourite was Amritsari fish, Butter chicken (so authentic, not sweet), Rarra goat, seekh kebab.to die for, will go many more time. The owner Ishu was warm, friendly and timed our dishes so well. Thank you for the wonderful experience powered by a fresh ambience.

Mirchi is well justified and amazing place with delicious food and plenty of options to choose from. Amazing place to celebrate special occasions or casual dine in. Wide variety of cocktails and mocktails. Pani puri shots were amazing, malai chicken tikka, Manchurian and Punjabi butter chicken is a must try. Don't leave without trying their Faluda ice cream, it is just awesome level of experience.

A really good family run Indian restaurant. A great atmosphere inside and staff are also very welcoming. Plenty of options in the bar, dishes were delicious and desserts were awesome.

Being a foodie, I've tried and tested many Indian restaurants but Mirchi stands out amongst all. My favourite was Tandoori chicken, Chicken Malai tikka and Punjabi butter chicken. Can't wait to try the rest next time.

Two weeks ago we had a pleasure to visit this amazing restaurant. First thing first the vibe of this restaurant is amazing. We felt welcomed. Food was amazing, customer service was excellent and ambiance all spot on.

Superb Indian food Authentic, Flavoursome dishes, the Punjabi Butter Chicken is amazing, Fish Amritsari, Chicken Tikka were all excellent. Definitely one of the best and my Favourite Indian restaurant

The ambiance is very welcoming. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is unmatched. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths-Butter chicken, Kali Mirch Chicken, Chicken Tikka and Malai Chicken to name few. Absolutely the best meal. Highly recommend!

I have been there three times with my friends since converting to Indian Restaurant. Foods & hospitality were always great. The place looks much smarter than the Estivo time.
Certainly, my friends and I would go back whenever opportunity arises.
My favourite dish is Papadi Chat

I've had takeaway a few times and I think the portion is a bit small. Didn't find much lamb in the curry and lots of fat bits. Taste wasn't impressive but okay.
