Perfect accomodation for getting away on the weekend. I and my girlfriend had a wonderful time over there and I suggest this place to everyone.

We had a wonderful weekend at the cave house! The room is unique, stylish and cosy.
Nic offered incredible services to fulfil our requests during our stay and we really appreciate it. What a memorable long weekend there.

We stayed in the Japanese Zen Retreat and it was heavenly. Carl was a great host. Can't recommend enough.

Had the best time here with my family in the Tanglewood cottage. It was just gorgeous. The whole place has such a magical feeling. The owner Carl is so lovely and showed us another of the properties being 'the cave' while we were there. I've never been to a place where so much food was included in the booking. We had an awesome breakfast and lunch because of it. We will definitely book again. Thanks, Carl.

Magical.
Real magic is hard to find but the cave was truly a magical experience, from start to finish. Never have I spent so much time blissfully staring, at walls! I spent much of the first night walking around the cave in awe with a giant grin. The details, oh the details!
The photos do no justice and if you are considering it, you will not be disappointed.
The bed was luxurious and we had one of the best sleeps in a long time. Carl was very warm and the breakfast hamper was very generous.
One of those "must do" experiences that are few and far between. Disconnect with the day to day, connect with serenity. We will be returning! Thank you!

My partner and I stayed in the japan zen retreat, we had the best time.from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Carl and ying and yang (two of the cutest dogs), we arrived to a beautiful secluded retreat and ingredients for breakfast and lunch were provided. Anything we needed was provided by Carl. Couldn't recommend this place enough cannot wait to come back and try the other places.

My wife and I stayed in the cave over the Valentine's day weekend.
Carl was very welcoming and offered his time for anything we may have wanted or needed.
We loved everything about our stay, the quietness, the breakfast hamper, the recommendations of where to eat dinner.
We loved the character of the cave and the LED lights and fairy lights, especially at Night.
We want to return and stay in the Japanese Zen House.

My partner and I stayed here for the weekend and we loved it, will definitely be returning accommodation was mind blowing and met our expectations and more, the owner/host Carl and his fur babies ying n Yang we’re utterly fantastic and truly accommodating and welcoming. Safe to say money well spent and cannot compliment this place enough.

Wow, just WOW! What an amazing accomodation and owner. My husband and I had an amazing weekend away. Couldn’t get any more amazing than this unique place.

Amazing stay, don't even bother taking your phone, this is an amazing opportunity to switch off. The host is great, haven't had a more enthusiastic host who is happy to help at any opportunity and very knowledgeable. We stayed at the 'zen don't or zen retreat, in may and hope to be back soon! Bring food to cook so you don't have to leave, though some food is provided, which was amazingly generous and give yourself enough time to explore the rest of the property that mira mira holds. (Wear good walking shoes) books out well in advance, when we booked for our stay in may we booked in early December of the previous year for the earliest available weekend. But - it was well worth the wait. You feel like you're a world away situated on your own lake.

The ultimate dream tree house! Amazing and very romantic place to stay! So peaceful, so lovely and beautiful! Highly recommend!

Words can’t really express my experience with the cave, it’s really something unexpected, unique and one of its kind.

Thank you Carl but unfortunate to hear some of your story but you’re great and friendly host also your farm friend is really friendly, you have a great creations that worth sharing and thanks for accomodating us such a wonderful place that are truly exceptional stunning.

My best memories was brushing my teeth on the balcony when a cow looked at me then look at his friend then both of them looked at me, maybe making fun of me what is this tiny human weirdo doing look funny Hehe. There’s also 2 frog, I don’t know if that is planned surprise but it does have us some overwhelming reaction to it and surely I don’t want it jump around I might squish on my foot so I manage to put it into a container and off course they’re return to the wild.

Couldn't ask for better hosts I've stayed hear 3 times including once for my daughter's 18th where we booked out all 3 available rooms (zen garden, cave, tanglewood) we had ppl from 3 to 50 and all were well entertained well fed and all fell in love with the property and the hosts

We stayed at the Cave house on the New Year’s Eve. Renee and Carl made our weekend away one of the best holiday experience ever! They are super friendly and accommodating hosts, being there whenever needed. And glad we can call these two beautiful humans our friends now!
The cave house itself is amazing already, so unique and spacious, everything inside is well designed and very thoughtful, the bath towel holder is even heated! The house is very tidy and clean. We woke up to the most beautiful and relaxing view in the morning. What a Peaceful, quiet and private retreat!
There are a lot of scenic places to go around the area, we enjoyed the walk up to the Toorango fall very much! Also nice restaurants and wineries to go.
Last but not the least, we made friends with Renee and Carl’s little puppy! She is the most adorable little thing in the world! So loving and affectionate! A good reflection on her masters!
We will definitely come back soon to stay at the Cave house again, and try out the Japanese house which is so popular that couldn’t even get a booking until April.
We strongly recommend this resort to everyone, come and have fun. You would not regret!
We normally pay for $200 per night for an ordinary hotel down Rye or other regional area. Here for $250 you could stay at such fun and dream like place, what a bargain!

Carl and Renee are very friendly and want the best for your stay. The grounds are lovely.
Location was good.
Food provided was great, lots of it and quality was good.
Accomodation was ok, a few issues where that we confirmed there was a BBQ to use and brought meat to cook. However, the BBQ was unusable as it looked like it had not been cleaned for 2 years and was frustrating as it was clear we had the intention of using it.
While most of the accomodation was clean, the bathroom had a very musty smell for our stay and a lot of surfaces required dusting as the top of the bed heads and most sliding doors had thick layers of dust which wasn’t great for an asthmatic.
Overall the stay was ok, a few things to improve on.

What a unique and amazing weekend!

The hosts went out and beyond, from providing an experience never to forget staying in a cave, to supplying a yummy abunce of fresh food to cook up in our cave!

The suggestions on what to do where spot on, and were so welcoming offering of anything, which we thought was up and beyond what they needed to do!

We had car issues, and they even assisted us picking up a hire car and lending their car, now who would do that.only the kindest people around, Carl & Renee!

We LOVED everything about our time at Mira Mira Cave, and we'll be back!

Thank you Carl and Renee for all of your help, and for being so helpful when we were in desperate need.

We stayed for 2 nights as a birthday surprise. Carl and Renee were amazing helping me to arrange in house massages and even a birthday cake! Location is fabulous and the perfect way to shut yourselves away and get away from it all. The breakfast supplied is very generous and its a good idea to bring some food and nibbles of your own. Would also suggest bringing some music or DVDs to listen to whilst sipping champagne. Thanks for a fabulous stay in the cave and would highly recommend Mira Mira.

Wow just WOW, nothing like i expected at all. It was such an amazing experince and stunnimg area to tour around.
The coupke that ran this place were also just beautiful souls with welcoming arms that made you feel part of the family.
The history, the effort that has gone into creating this adventures.

Very unique getaway, not too far from Melbourne. Carl and Renee were very friendly and accomodating and the rooms were themed perfectly.
Only thing is that there is not much else to do around the area in terms of sightseeing, but if you're planning on just staying and relaxing, then it is great.
