MiRA Marysville Information & Regional Artspace reviews
31 Inside, the atmosphere is comparable to a prestigious museum, or an old art gallery. I mean we felt like we should behave very quietly inside. The staff were very quiet. Very very quiet.
Everything is presented very nicely inside, but the quiet atmosphere and extremely quiet staff made it feel kinda awkward and uncomfortable.
Maybe it would be different on another day or at another time.
I had a great experience visiting MiRA Marysville Information & Regional Artspace! This information center not only provides useful tourist information about the Marysville area, but is also a worthwhile destination for art lovers.
Very friendly team, great information available, and a gallery with some nice artwork too. Definitely the best TIC I've been to in a long while.
I went in asking for help with getting back to southern cross they gave me the incorrect information and now we stranded in marysville. Absolutely guttered
Mira Art Gallery is something of an Aladdin’s cave! Art, handmade local ceramics, creative and practical pieces as well. Staff is lovely and helpful
Nice little gifts here and beautiful ast on display. The lady was lovely and very helpful showing us some places to see in the area on the map.
Very much enjoyed looking at all the art from local artists on a rainy day. The focus on Australian flora and fauna in various media is great. Other local products available for sale including locally grown organic garlic!
I visit Marysville often but this past weekend was my first visit to Mira. Loved the Art Gallery and Gift shop. Love my new earrings. There’s an art work on the wall that I hope to own one day. Maybe on my next visit.
This is a great information centre, there is locally made artwork, jewellery and food including treats for your dog! There are lovely jams, chocolate and more and the staff behind the desk are super helpful and knowledgeable about the town and great spots to visit and have maps for those who are keen walkers. There are some souvenirs also and even paints and paint brushes which was a bit random but I would assume there isn’t anywhere else in the town that you could buy these. The info centre is very spacious, modern looking and super clean.
There is a really cool kids park with a flying fox and a water bridge. Must visit or a stopover before heading elsewhere.
Friendly and informative receptionist and a great centre to review art, crafts, local history and of course general Information about Marysville.
Staff are very helpful & there is a lot of printed info available. Retails gifts & organic items. Toilets are outside near playground & is clean. Did not have time to view the art gallery. Something to do on next visit.
Friendly people in the counter. Was helpful explaining stuffs to see around.
The park next to it is awesome for kids, they just love it.
Great information centre with many local products available and a very interesting photo gallery and burnt artefacts of the destructive Black Saturday bushfires
So impressed with the local knowledge of those who were working when we visited. So helpful and friendly and intrested in what we had been doing. Then suggested things for us to visit in the areaa. They were not pushy or matter of fact like some places. Thank you to all the volunteers there you were a great help and a pleasure meeting. Blessings.
Helpful staff. Plenty of tips for various activities restaurants and parks around the area. Clean public toilet just behind the centre. Interesting architecture. Thanks for working on a public holiday.
A must see mini Museum of the past times of Marysville, a small room is dedicated to the Old town as it was, and during it's demise.
We remember the town as it was 25 yrs ago, when this town was so full of History, with Old buildings, Hotels and Guest houses a plenty, now you can only reflect it's beauty from the photos in here, and at the Historical Society in Darwin St, which is walking distance from MiRA information centre. This Historical Museum was one of the few buildings not burnt down, and thankfully it's intact, well maintained with Old visions of the past, and full of artifacts and memorabilia as well.
You can also see a short film of the Town during it's most horrific heartbreaking fire devastation.
We stayed at El Kanah guest house, and enjoyed the Serenity there as well, also suggest a stay. 5 Staff and amenities are excellent.
A weekend well worth the trip.
Such a relaxing place to stop, have a wonder and take some really nice photos.
Even if you go a bit out of the way to stop here, you'll feel better having done so.
Marysville Information & Regional Arts is what MiRA stands for and is where you can go to get information about accommodation, dining, shopping, cafés, hikes, lookouts, waterfalls, fishing, camping, mountain biking, local arts and almost everything. The space is always shared with some form of art display or workshop. The building was newly renovated in late 2018 and has a welcoming, modern yet interesting atmosphere. I highly recommend poping in when you visit Marysville or the area.
