Miners Den Melbourne

Went in this morning very keen to buy a Minelab Equinox 900 Metal Detector.
Right from the beginning I realised that the salesman was not going to let me speak.
He also made it very clear that I should not expect any help or advice once I had purchased the Detector.
He told me straight up that I would need to go onto YouTube.
Why would I buy from a shop with this sort of attitude?
May as well just buy for the same price Online!

I don't have any comments about the products, I do have comments about your customer service.

I phoned your shop from Cairns and the service I received was second to none. I had phoned several other retailers that day that were less than helpful with information.

Your store however took the time to explain clearly and uncomplicated to a novice that has really appreciated your help and guidance.

I will definitely be purchasing items from you in the future if required, despite you are at the complete opposite end of the country. This is not based on price or anything other than the customer service I received.

Purchased the Vanquish s40 on behalf of my daughter for her partner. I'm totally a novice with detectors, so it was great to have someone like Riley to help me decide which way to go. He was extremely helpful and I walked out of the store not only with the unit, but also a very good understanding of metal detection. Thanks Riley. If the detector works as well as their service we should strike gold, hopefully. Highly recommend them.

Bought a gpx 6000 at mornington caravan show I found the owners of miners den very nice and helpful would highly recommend.

Excellent customer service really go above and beyond friendly staff and very knowledgeable if ya need prospecting equipment or advice I'd highly recommend going and seeing them.

Purchased a GPZ 7000 in December and found the guys in the shop very helpful and knowledgeable Went back today to purchase a 19 inch coil and once again wasn't let down. After a mis understanding about the price of the coil from time of purchasing machine to now they honoured the original price and I left the store a very happy customer.

These guys have forgotten what customer service is about. I broke a plastic part in my detector. Have done it before and bought this single part from MD Mitcham before. No fuss easy. This time the young fella in there claims I have to buy the entire kit. All the while their very own website has the single part online. They wouldn't order it in for me either. Said I had to play to have it shipped to my home address. The solution here is very simple yet the 'service' guy wasn't interested. I have been loyal to Miners Den for many years. I like to support the little guys when I can. I think now it's time I go to Anaconda instead. Very disappointing.

Over the phone service before christmas was above and beyond. A follow up visit today for tuitions on how to use the devise. Very knowledgeable, no hard sell. I would highly recommend these guys if you want to do any detecting.

I received an old metal detector from a friend with a few things not working. The staff at Miner's Den looked over the machine and got it up and running. They explained how to use it effectively and helped to bridge the gap between internet knowledge and real world experience. Thanks guys!

I recently purchased a M. L CTX 3030, a carrying bag for my detector and a M. L Profind 35 pin pointer, from this store.
My orders arrived promptly and in perfect working order. The staff are friendly, and happy to give good advice. I would recommend MinersDen Melbourne to anyone.
I won't be going any where else.

I requested a quote for a package minelab setup (machine+coils+accessories) from Miners Den to get a better deal seeing that they claimed to be the largest prospecting store in Australia.

After receiving the quote, there wasn't much difference of price of I buy the setup locally here in WA, I asked for a $100 discount less for a purchase price of almost $5000 (about 2 percent) which I think was reasonable.

Then the communication stops, no reply, I guess being a busy season when Gold Prices being this high they don't really need my business. But I thought being the largest store they should at least have the courtesy to reply. Looks like I'll be going to my local store instead. I may have paid slightly extra but I'll always have the safety of support from my local dealer.

Standing around yakking while a customer with cash in his pocket gets ignored. I'll go elsewhere. Your loss
