Mind Games Northcote

My partner and I went to Mind Games yesterday (27/12) looking for a new board game to play.

Initially we were a bit overwhelmed with the choices as there are just so many. When we asked the team member working there for some ideas we were blown away with his help. He gave so many different options and talked through the game styles.

We ended up purchasing Everdell and while we could have bought it slightly cheaper online we will always be returning here in future due to the customer service.

Great store and really helpful staff who helped me find the perfect game for a gift in my budget / to fit the vibe of the person. We played it that night and had a blast. Thanks team!

Great lego selection with prices as good as any bricks and mortar store. I have to stop going, I buy too much stuff!

On both occasions I have shopped here, I have been given nothing less than absolutely perfect customer care. Good work:)

Great choice of games and friendly staff. Means I don't always have to travel to the city store.

A great store when It.comes to board games and puzzles for sure and also a good range of RPGs, my only wish is that they had more in the way of wargames like say the GMT or Compass brand but I guess they can't have everything

I could stay here for hours. Went just to browse, bought a puzzle and 2 games. Service was great, person at the counter was pleasant and not overbearing. Had a nice chat with them! Will visit again.

Friendly and helpful staff, the owner is also very nice and lovely to chat to. They really know their stuff. Also they sell level up dice!

Terrible customer service. Paid for delivery, parcel not delivered, staff unhelpful. Games available cheaper elsewhere online, my recommendation would be to look elsewhere.

Note that the owners response contains a number of inaccuracies:

1. "delivery was not able to be made because I was not at home" - I was at home and the courier made no attempt to deliver
2. Northcote staff's attitude throughout was "once it's out the door, it's nothing to do with us"
3.no aggression whatsoever was shown to staff on the phone and no verbal abuse was made. This comment by the owner is arguably actionable.

Amazing friendly local gaming store. Staff are knowledgeable, they carry a fantastic range of AAA to more Indy/kick-startery board games. Small selection of puzzles, tabletop RPG and collectable card game stock too.

Great place to get inspired to play new games or even some of your old ones.

You can find; puzzles, card games, dice, board Games, Lego, mini figures etc. Perfect place to find a present for your nerdy friends (or you)

Really great store! Have been to both the locations in the city and liked them both but the Northcote location was less busy and there was much more room to take your time and look around. They have a heap of great boardgames and the staff were very knowledgeable ans friendly. I asked for some recommendations based on board games we already own and have been very happy with the games suggested by the staff.

Great service, great selection of games. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bought my daughter a birthday present and will be back soon to get myself something.

Great shop, the staff are amazing! They even gift wrapped our presents, so good I love this place.
