If I could give it no stars I would. Aggressive towards women, no work and will kick you out for no reason.

I think it is very sad that the 2 people who left reviews before me are not honest at all. They were the problem in that hostel themselves, continually smoking weed and then got kicked out for it because they didn't want to stop. Saying the place is horrible and end up staying 5 months.not so horrible after all.this was a group of people who are acting like spoiled little brats not getting their way.so being kicked out for no reason isn't entirely true.

On the other side.i had a good experience at this hostel.got a bed to sleep in, blankets even more blankets when it was cold etc.you either share the room with 1/3 or 5 people.most of the times the rooms are not full so you be fine. There are 2 seasons here grape season and citrus season. If you wait or come for citrus season, they can get you a very good hourly paid job at MFB if the jobs come up. Grape season you either get piecerate or hourly paid jobs.

The place gets cleaned very often in the morning, most times when you are at work by Irina and Craig after they bring some of the backpackers to their work. There are 2 nice livingrooms where you can sit watching tv, with 2 heaters to keep you warm in winter and also 2 kitchens. You can do free laundry if you bring or buy your own powder or liquid. Also got 2 kitchens with lots of space in the fridges etc.if you clean up after yourselfs after cooking the place will stay nice and tidy.

The place is been kept save by safety camera's and you are able to lock the door to your room at night and when you're out. You can go with your questions and problem to either JOhn, Craig or Irina (the owners) they are very pleased to help you with everything.they really listen to you if you want to.

Just behind the hostel you find the library, gym and swimming pool which you can enjoy for only 20 dollars per fortnight. You are also close to shops and supermarkets.

It is a good and fun social environment at this place. I'll come back when corona is over!

Don’t stay at Mildura International Backpackers or stopover unless you want to be kicked out of the hostel for no reason. After staying and paying rent for 14 weeks. Hostel owners kicked out 7 of us out at random “to make an example of us”. Most likely to make space for the new guests he had arriving. I’d you’re looking to do farmwork and don’t have time to waste we sat around for a month waiting for work before John found us any. A lot of the jobs he find are temporary only for a few days at a time. In the 14 weeks I spent at this hostel John only found me work for a total of 7 weeks. John also went into mine and another girls room whist we were at work and took photos of all our things in the room and posted them on social media. Also craig the manager at stopover thinks it’s appropriate shout and intimidate girls half his size whilst they’re crying. Really professional! Worst hostel i’ve ever experienced.
