The other reviews say it all. Wish i had read them first. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS! They will take your money and then dish out every excuse or totally ignore you. Installers never turn up. Carpet we chose is suddenly out of stock, even though we were promised it was there. They will not provide a refund even though they can't supply what we originally agreed to. Disgusting customer service.

NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY!
How this place is aloud to stay open is beyond me. Same story as most, salesman came to our house, seemed friendly. Gave us a quote on 3 rooms for carpet. Said it would be installed within 2 weeks. Took our 70% deposit. That was the last communication we got. We called their store no answer, went there to demand our deposit back. Place was closed. Finally spoke to someone after calling non stop and they kept saying it’s been pushed back a month, there’s no stock. 4 Months since original quote and they refuse to give back the deposit.
STAY RIGHT AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
THEY ARE AS DODGY AS THEY COME!

Do not recommend.
Dishonest about installation dates. Told could be installed within 2 weeks. Now 2 months later, no installation date set.
Poor communication. When trying to organize a refund 'accounts' department is disconnected/never answered.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Paid $3k for flooring as we were told it would arrive within 2 weeks (we had installation booked in 2 weeks time). 2 weeks comes around and nothing. 4 weeks. Nothing. 6 weeks. Nothing. They don't answer the phone and when they do have no idea what's going on. Won't respond to refund requests. Go time the shop and its closed with a sign on the door saying at a meeting. So like everyone else we are now going through consumer affairs and taking legal action. I can't stress enough how much I would recommend you use any other flooring company than this one. Feel free to contact us re our refund business owner as you've ignored our calls and emails.

To anyone thinking of using Mike's Carpet service, DONT. They will happily take your 70% deposit and then make some excuse for not being able to deliver. What absolute sham of a company.

I would not recommend. Carpet was not laid to a professional standard. My new wooden floors were scratched from them dragging my furniture, even though i paid an extra $400 for it to be moved. Paying upfront leaves you no recourse, from start to finish, it was extremely unprofessional. Paid $7000

Would not recommend to anyone. I had all my floors done with hybrid flooring, the workmanship was ok. Was charged extra to have the flooring levelled only for the floor to still be out of level. Trims that were installed in each bedroom didn't even last the night were falling off by the morning.
Disgusting customer service raised these issues with the company via email on 4 times to no reply contacted by phone multiple times. Someone came and inspected and told me they would contact me have someone fix the issue. That was 2 months ago.
Would recommend doing the flooring yourself before even asking this company for a quote.

We had carpet installed yesterday. We had a lot of trouble getting Mike's Carpet to confirm the install day and time. However, things changed just before Easter with Gagan taking charge of our job. He was able to manage our expectations and send 2 friendly installers.

DO NOT RECOMMEND MIKES CARPET
We had floorboards installed back in October.
The workers who came to quote the job were great and made Mikes Carpet seem like a good company to go with.
We had received the quote and were going to go ahead with them however I hadn’t had the chance to accept the quote and arrange a date. I started getting calls whilst at work asking if we were going ahead with the quote. I told the caller yes we will go ahead but I was busy and we were deciding a date, I said I would call back when we were ready.
They seemed to ignore this and continued to call multiple times a day and daily. I had to email them to ask them to stop calling.
I should’ve seen this as a red flag but not long after I called and arranged a date.
The full price of quote had to be paid before works commenced (another red flag).
It came up to the weekend before works would commenced and I hadn’t heard anything more from Mikes Carpet. I messaged to see if everything was still booked in, what time they were arriving etc and didn’t hear anything. By that point I had already paid the quote and started to think we had been scammed.
On the day they were to start works I called Mikes to ask if someone was coming. They seemed confused and said would call me back. Luckily someone was on their way to commence.
There was one worker. He started working and seeing if our floors were level which he said they were slightly not level and would require a small amount of prep, he would have to call his boss to confirm additional payment.
I received a call from the company saying due to the floors not being level, an additional $600 was required for prep work and it needed to be paid before the worker would recommence.
I refused to pay as I wanted to make sure we were happy with the works on completion. This took some back and forth and me agreeing in writing to pay on completion.
The worker finished by the end of the day and the flooring did look great.
After time you do take more notice of things that didn’t look so great. Like glue seeping from connecting floorboards or just sporadically on them that is very hard to remove.
And like today where we have finally got the chance to put skirting boards on, we see that the floor is definitely NOT level. There are massive gaps when we are trying to install the skirting which we are going to have to find a way to make it look less noticeable. $600 we have lost and now flooring that doesn’t actually look so great…
We will be telling friends and family to NOT choose Mikes Carpet and will never go with Mikes Carpet again. Don’t let the cheap quotes trick you!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Quoted for a product that is apparentlt discontinued, then took 3 months to refund our money. Multiple emails sent, many phone calls.
Eventually had to contact the bank which is a hassle in itself.
How this business is still running is beyond me

We used Mike’s Carpet for our hallway. It was 14.5mm in thickness, Chevron Grand Oak looked so classic for our interior. We were completely redoing the flooring in the property. The overall outcomes were excellent. Despite the fact that our two dogs worked very hard to avoid scratching the surface, they already gave it a good workout. Quick to clean and very aesthetically beautiful.

The installer guys from Mike’s Carpet did a great job installing the 8mm Amor Classic laminate flooring and providing us with excellent customer care. The entire procedure, from measurement and estimate to the installation was great. The finished result really improved our house. Thank you to everyone in the team!

I wanted to give Mikes Carpets a chance to respond to my email before posting a review, but it has now been weeks and i even went down to the store only to be laughed at and told "that your email probably went to our junk folder". Based on this and the lousy unprofessional service i recieved i want to tell everyone to NOT USE MIKES CARPETS. The highlights of the email are as follows.

* We arranged a quote for our newly purchased home and organised installation time for both carpets and hybrid floor boards. We treated payment with the utmost urgency as that was the only way to secure the install and to ensure that we would have it all installed in time. On the 28th September the carpets were laid. All well and good although I was unhappy that your tradesmen did not clean up after themselves. This is not a big deal but worth the mention for quality control. On the 29th September, the men turned up to install the hybrid floorboards. They had the wrong colour! We had booked and paid for Spotted Gum Ash and they bought spotted gum. Luckily I was there to oversee and before the first board was laid, advised them of their error, saving YOU money. You would have lost a lot of money had we not picked this up at the very beginning. This is where it gets infuriating. Without an apology or follow up when the correct floorboards would be installed, the men packed up and left. I then spent the next 3 days chasing Mike's Carpets trying to find out when it would be installed. Nobody from your business had a contingency plan or took the initiative to correct this for us. When I did finally get some answers, I was advised the earliest they could do it was Thursday 06th October. Again, all I received was hostility and definitely no apology. SO the guy turns up to install the floorboards on Thursday, mind you we had our removalist booked for Thursday as settlement was the next day. He came by himself because his colleague was sick. We were advised that it was too big of a job for him to do by himself in one day and had to come back the next day (settlement day). We moved what we could but then had to rebook the removalist for Friday so we could get the whitegoods into the property without disturbing the installer. So not only did this cause us a huge inconvenience, it cost a lot of money to have the removalist over two days (an extra $1000). He came back with his colleague the next day and was there all day completing the work while we moved all our furniture in. It was really stressful and simply not good enough. The actual installer was great (i am not having a go at him because he did fantastic work) i am furious with all the diligence, pre planning and the taking of the full amount of money for this job that this could even happen, especially with an experienced company that has been around since the 70's! We did think about employing another company to install floorboards but since you already had our money, we simply could not afford to do that.
* We are also very unhappy that we were asked to purchase new floor trims for $100 which were a huge waste of money as they couldn't be used as required. This should have been included anyway and not charged at all. I expect a full refund on this.
* Finally, when we had the job quoted it was agreed that we would get the whole house done. I was of the understanding that all tiled areas would be replaced with floorboards, however I was advised by the installer that the ensuite bathroom was not included and there were not enough floorboards to complete that area. We would need another 4 packs. I cannot understand while every aspect of the house was done, this was not included. Now we have that one area that does not match the rest of the house and we are really disappointed.

We chose vinyl sheets for the flooring of our nursery school. The installation was super easy. The Polyclad Plus PU looks durable, flexible, and resilient. For low pricing, it was a better option for us. The sheets are so far working great for us and the kids.
