Absolutely top grade meat. I have never had this quality of meat since my dad's butcher shop days. And carried the meat to the car! Fantastic customer service

The staff is nice and helpful, they have limited halal meat and they have Haram meats all over which can be easily mixed with Halal since it's the same cabin layout, same staff that serves halal and harram with his bare hands with no assisted equipment and same larder fridge.

But they will help to pick up halal slaughtered meats.

Update on opening times would be great, thanks for wasting my time walking there with a bad back

I just bulk purchased some Angus scotch fillet, it was bought on sale. The quality was absolutely incredible and the price was absurdly cheap. The courier dropped it at the front door and took pics to verify delivery.

I rang and ordered three bags of pet mince first thing in morning knowing that they sell their pet mince on a first come first serve basis.
But when I went to pick it up they have already sold my three pet mince bags to other customers and I was very disappointed. This is poor service and very unfair.

I love the variety this place provides. Bit disappointed they stuffed up my order a few times. Asked for certain meat cut’s and they gave me something else on several occasions. Be great if they listen to their customers.

Have purchased products when passing through Colac however in recent months have been getting a bulk order every fortnight home delivered to Melbourne. The quality and variety of products is excellent. Tbe online experience is faultless. Thoroughly recommend these guys.

I haven’t tried their fresh meat yet, I just got their delivery, and the reason I’m posting is because I rarely get great c/s. You can tell a great company from when problems develop. This happened on my first order. I was missing one item I ordered, short-changed slightly on another, and one of the eggs were broken. So by the time I cleaned everything up and sat down, Braden had already processed a credit. I didn’t feel bad having to call them, I didn’t have a heart attack like when you complain about your fish and chips, and they think you have 3 heads, there was NO issue saying something went wrong! That’s why I’m buying from here again, and I haven’t even tasted the meat yet, I just like their attitude! I’ll update the post when I’ve had a meal from this meat. Customer-service-wise, don’t think about it, they’ll look after you, just be honest!

Discovered Midwest during covid lockdown and I’ll continue to support them even though there are plenty of butchers close to me here in Melbourne. Can tell the difference in the quality of meat and this always makes me look like I’m a great cook

The store is wonderful with good ole fashioned service and nothings too much trouble for the skilled staff. Try and get there too!
Used the online home delivery to the coast in summer! Amazing service allowing us to shop from the beach and arrive home to an awesome locally produced BBQ ready to go. We saved heaps too, rather than shop in stores with inflated prices we were buying practically from the farm gate. Freshness and variety was FAB.
