Middleborough Latte Cafe

Had to get some take-out as i was working nearby, the food was really nice, portions were good, and the owners are also really friendly. I recommend this café.

Inordinate delay in serving, lady rude when asked about the delay. They said it will be served in 5 mins every time we asked them. Waited for an hour and was told that we need to be understanding that they are busy. The restaurant was actually not busy. Hardly other sit down breakfast customers. Only take away coffee orders. With hungry children we thought we could cancel the order and go elsewhere, the lady said if we can’t understand them being busy (after 1 hour of waiting) we can cancel and go.
Rude, lack of reasonable service levels, no apology from the lady, customer is at fault for complaining about the inordinate delay!
It took the guy from the kitchen (owner maybe) to come with the order and understand our wait time to finally apologize.
Brushette was average (not authentic bread considering the price) some of the other breakfast items were also average. They waived the holiday surcharge due to the delay.
Will not visit the place again - food not worth the price and lady not respectful.

Bought two strong lattes. Latte's weren't strong at all just tasted like normal latte's. Colour was of a normal latte too.

Had to wait for sometime too. Won't be back.

By coming here frequently, this cafe is a great place to meet and make friends. The owners and staff are very pleasant. I've been coming here for 15 years. Thumbs up for this place.

Not a bad little Cafe. Coffee was good, crossaints were nice.
But a extremely noisy atmosphere, can't even hear myself think let alone chat with my wife.
I suppose if I wanted a quiet place I should stay home.

Enjoyed a good lunch here, nicely presented, tasty and satisfying. Cafe was moderately busy and service was excellent.

Unfortunately not a good experience at this Cafe. They totally forgot our lunch order after waiting nearly 30 mins. Also got home to find they had shortchanged me $10. Won't be going back to this one!

Great place for a coffee catch up. The place is not too busy on Friday arvo.
Have varieties of food if you are hungry. I only ordered a latte, which taste great.

Probably the only open cafe at 4 pm on a Saturday evening in the entire box hill neighbourhood.

I was really enjoying an ice coffee and parmigiana at this nicely presented cafe with quite good service. Unfortunately, whilst the staff were cleaning the counter they bumped the cutlery people use for the food and several forks fell on the floor. Rather than wash them, they just put them back for the next person to use which forced me to downgrade a 5-star review to 2 for health risk reasons.

Really lovely cafe, always has water out for dogs. I like the coffee and really enjoy getting sausage rolls or pies here, or their bruschetta for a healthy-feeling brunch.

We had breakfast feast. It was simply amazing. Totally worth the price. The waiter was also very courteous.

What a delight. As many other reviews have said, the food is well presented, tasty & the service is excellent. The venue is clean & modern. It has a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to spend time there and an aroma of “something yummy” cooking greets you as you come through the door. Family run with attention to detail while being attentive. You get an impression that they care. 5 out of 5.

Big gluten free sign does not fulfill your expectations when you walk in. Toasts toasted in the same toaster with no care.

Friendly welcome, excellent coffee. Today I had an Eggs Benedict, nice runny eggs, on crisp toast with avocado mash and generous ham rashers.

We’ve got a buzzy little cafe here in the Kerrimuir shopping centre. It was enjoying good patronage on another sparkling sunny day. That northern light was prominent again and there was barely a breath of wind. This weather can’t last - a chill wind from Antarctica is due soon - so people were out and about. Today suggested the cafe appeals to the older demographic. But, who knows what the weekend brings.

I fancied the veggie breakfast which turned out to be large, generous and tasty. I’m not sure how much was made on site - the beans and the hash brown, for example - looked and tasted like bought ones. There were some inconsistencies too. One of the poached eggs was cooked and beautifully runny. The other had a decidedly firm yolk. I’m pretty easy to please though and enjoyed the dish. It was a good size and it was nicely presented and delicious in its own way.

I gained an impression that they were either one staff member short or had deliberately lean staffing. The energetic lady who served me seemed run off her feet. Maybe it was the good weather bringing out an unexpected number of people. Who knows. It led to a couple of small mistakes, eg my sparkling water bring delivered late after the meal arrived and then with no glass only a bottle. These were minor things though. I found myself liking the cafe which offers good reasonably priced meals. The service too was happy, amiable and obliging. I’d happily return here.

Weird mix of reviews! I've been here quite a few times & the service has always been good. Friendly too. The food has always satisfied me. A couple of times when I couldn't decide various staff members happily made suggestions, sometime off-menu, they were always spot on. I'll keep on coming back.

Quick service friendly staff & the coffee tastes like coffee. Not like most cafes where it tastes like hot water with a little milk.
