Update: Be wary of the "care plan" and anything after purchase.

They will push the care plan on you at purchase. I was told it covered "accidental damage". However if you read it, it does not.

The reality is the care plan doesn't cover anything, because if anything is a manufacturing fault, they'll just come back and say that you broke it or that it is natural wear and tear (despite the ring only 5 months old). One star now for providing misleading information.

Previous review:
Went here twice, usually turn around time is 6-8 weeks for resizing but they understood our shorter time frame and had it done in 3.

The staff are friendly and patient while you select your item.

First time I went in I booked a time slot. The second time was a walk in and it was full so if you're time pressured maybe book a time slot.

Had a look at engagement/wedding bands here.
The staff were lovely & attentive, asking if they could help at all.
We were only browsing and the staff were great in acknowledging that but also knowing we could ask for help if needed.

Staff are friendly enough and I found a couple of rings I liked but the lower priced rings only seem to come in size O and I need a P. Not enough range for my liking sadly, pretty disappointed.

I have visited knox Michael hill with my husband beginning of this month and asked a staff for Diamond earring without wasting any time she said yes go to Swarovski, I said no we are looking to buy Diamond earring and for the second time she said yes go to Swarovski, I said again No I want a Diamond earring for the third time. What's wrong with the staffs at Knox.
We remained with the same staff to continue to purchase what we wanted for a good precious function, so I didn't show any hatred face rather showed who we are, she showed me the earring we selected and she said the price was $$$, yes we asked her to proceed few seconds later she said the price is around $ 100 more when we asked why? She was giving us some irrelevant answer. While she was showing the earring she was asking some inappropriate questions as Did you go to Uni? What change is going to happen to herself to the racist, foul mentality. Is that what you teach your staff to discriminate on the customers look. The behaviour of the staff was disgusting, rotten and unscrupulous. There was no word of sorry, thank you and not even a feeling of guilty we could see on her. In one point I even thought why is she even acting as a trillionaire of herself? Can this Madam can decide whether the customer have a capacity to buy or not, Is she a future predictor.
After bearing all the insult we kindly told her we will consult with our child and come back and went to Chadstone and brought the same earring and the staff at Chadstone was excellent and I give her service 10/10
Note- Me myself was wearing Diamond ring, 22 carat gold earring, bangles, chain etc. Was she jealous about me or she is truly a bloody racist or is that what Michael hill expect the staff to behave.
We want to see the culture of the staff at Knox shop to change because this is my primary shopping centre for the last 15 years.
The management can contact me if they want any info /if they want to change the culture.

The manager Shorty has been a delight to deal with. I originally went to the Chirnside park store and was told I would get a cal back in regards to a ring I never heard from them.

I then called the Knox store and left a message to be called. Shortie called me back and was so helpful over the phone and also when we came into the store. I ended up picking a different wedding band one that shortie suggested and I totally love it.

Her patience, customer service and knowledge was outstanding.

I would highly recommend her.

I would say my experience with the Michael Hill Knox store had been rather pleasant until today…My first experience at this store was to exchange a faulty item and I rang them originally to ask if they had the stock for the exchange, however the lady on the phone told me to go back to the original michael hill store I got it from as they didn’t wanna take in my faulty product. However upon calling again - they corrected their mistake and allowed me to come in for that exchange. The lady that fixed my necklace was beyond lovely! Yet todays experience shopping at this store again was rather disappointing. I came in to exchange a gift yet upon walking in and after a few minutes of browsing, no one greeted me nor asked if I needed anything instead I had to approach the staff who were busy chatting amongst themselves. The staff helping me was rather impatient and blunt as I could not decide what to get. She told me it was better for me to just go home and find something online before coming to the store even though I came to the store to see the products in person. I found this rather rude as though I wanted to intentionally waste her time…Hence by writing this review, I just wanted to express how I felt that as staff, I believe it’s your job to make a customer feel comfortable and happy to shop in and this was not how I felt today.

Recently bought gold ring with diamonds for our wedding anniversary.
Great collection 'Heather Coe' the sales officer who assist us really good. She's so knowledgeable and calm, took us whole process without any hurry.

2 stars because of the lovely pieces of jewellery they do have however after the third extremely terrible customer assistance experience there I will not be back.

Deplorable service today I went in after purchasing a $2300 diamond ring six months ago and on their recommendation they requested I bring it back for stone checking and cleaning once I had used it for a period of six months.
When I arrived there was a gentleman vacuuming whom directed me in the same manner someone directs direct live stock to be served.
I approached that representative and explained that I was here for my rings to be stone checked and sent away for cleaning as my husband had purchased the extended care plan for all of the rings that we have bought from Michael Hill.
Normally they take my name they look my name up on the system, confirm my contact details and that’s it. Simple, Convenient and An expectation when paying for a service.

Today however on approach the customer service representative requested I provide paperwork? I explained I’ve never done that in the past and sure I have the paperwork but that’s not how I’ve done it can’t you just look me up on the system? Her response in a tone that reflected that I did not know anything along with a very obvious eye roll (whilst wearing a mask) was both unprofessional and unwelcome.
That’s not how we do things around here!
You need your paperwork! I interrupted her at this point and said to her my other ring that was an $1800.00 purchase in 2017 has never required paperwork just my name. Due to the vacuuming that was loud and the mask wearing I believe she may have misheard me and said why has it taking you so long to bring it in?
I said you were closed because of Covid but I’m not talking about the ring bought in 2017 I’m talking about the ring bought six months ago!

I don’t have time to continue to explain myself nor do I wish to be spoken down to or treated like a two year old.
A piece of advice I suggest that you do not vacuum whilst you have customers in store especially when your customer service representatives are hard hearing and wearing masks.
If anyone wants a calm respectful atmosphere with experienced and knowledgeable staff there are plenty other jewellery stores at Knox that provide exceptional service such as Pandora, Prouds, Angus and Coote, Bevilles, Mazzucchellis even on their busiest day.
You only have to look at Michael Hill at Knox and see how not busy it is. I can only assume it’s because no one wants to deal with dealing with them.
The last bad experience was insulting with one representative judging my appearance to another customer that unbeknown to them was my next door neighbour.
I agree I looked shabby however after a night shift on a covid positive ward my clothes were ones that I throw in the bin when I get home.
That’s the last time I had decided to have a look at some jewellery on my way to Coles.
If you know what you want I suggest trying other Michael Hills because this one is a joke.

Beautiful store with the loveliest staff! Heather provided us with outstanding customer service despite knowing we weren't going to buy, to top it all off she cleaned my favourite morganite ring. Will definitely be back to shop with Michael Hill, thanks to this great customer service.

Firstly, this is a beautiful shop in terms of decor. It just has a really luxe feel. Staff were very helpful in selecting a pair of earrings for a gift. They informed us of the return/refund policy if the person wasn't happy with them. For an additional cost, they also offer the service of turning butterfly backed earrings into screw backs. Mid year sale prices were great and meant we were able to get exactly what we wanted.
