Mezze Za Za reviews
16We asked for calamari plus side of chips. We only received the calamari. The calamari was two squid rings chopped up into eight pieces. Total rip off. Chips were good.
Meat was ok but was a tiny portion. It came with an unnecessarily large amount of garden salad with huge chunks of uncut vegetables and feta. Everyone's most unpleasant salad. The most annoying is when people that are taking your order have below average customer service skills/manners and charge you more on eftpos then what you ordered.
Without doubt THE BEST Australian airport meal I've EVER had in my life. If I was served that meal on Swanston St I would have been happy.
No, I don't know the owners or anyone that works there.
Got the Mezze feast with lamb.
Meat was flavoursome and juicy, bread warm and fresh, tabbouleh was dead set restaurant quality - so fresh (I got double serve in lieu of the Greek salad). Seasoned chips crispy and hit the deep fried craving.
Topped of with awesome hummus and tzatziki.
24 thumbs up - thank you
Had the Thor. Fresh, tasty, delicious - one of the best things I've eaten in Melbourne. Also friendly staff! Recommended
Delicious falafel sandwiches for a fair price. Rarely have I enjoyed airport food so much!
RECOMMENDED!
Delicious chicken kabab, fries, potato salad and lamb! Rich in taste! Very friendly lady behind the Kansas!
Ordered a lamb kebab (charged at an extra $3 compared to other protein) at around 8pm the other night. Was informed 10mins later that they were out of lamb (this also happened to 2 other patrons). They gave us a choice of a refund or to have extra chicken. I was tired and hungry so I opted for the extra chicken. The flavour of the salad and sauces were decent, however the amount of chicken was barely fitting for a normal portion, let alone the offer of "extra" chicken.
Was not worth a total $19 plus eftpos surcharge. Would not recommend coming here in the later hours, or just take the refund if given the option.
Ok random for an airport restaurant but this was one of the yummiest kebabs I’ve ever had I had a Thor with the halloumi filling and it was so yummy. Also the two people who took my order were so genuinely nice and kind in the short interaction we had. Thankyou
Probably the worst food I've ever eaten in my life. Salad doesn't have any sauce, they can't even provide salt to make it a little bit bearable. Fish was the oiliest I've ever seen. Never again.
The Mezze plate is Very tiny plate full of salad, and a little bit of meat, not worth the money
Serving tzatziki but menu says aioli! Undercooked calamari and soggy chips at a very expensive price.
Google says Mezze Za Za is open until 9, stood in line as the only person and tried to order food at 8: 29.
Man serving at counter ignores me until 8: 30 at which point he tells me they are closed, and also they were "out of meat. "
Ordered the feta chips. They were absolutely disgusting. Entirely just one handful of dry crunchy old chips and a whole block of feta broke into 3 pieces Just on top of these depresssing chips.
Worst and most expensive kebab. Filled with chips which fell out over the counter. $2brewed coffee with every meal so the sign said but on ordering was advised only at breakfast.
Food was expensive and not good at all. Nothing unique or original about the greek food, made me feel very very sick 10 minutes after eating. Chips were soggy and stale, wrap was thick, doughy and soggy. Chicken was cold. Its one of the best at the airport, but thats not saying much.
As far as food at the airport goes this place was pretty nice. Got the mezza feast and it was a good sized portion for $20. Can't complain!
