I had a consult with Dr Zeeshan Arain for severe spinal pain, he recommended me for a pulsed radio frequency treatment which I booked in to get done at monash house with Dr Bates. As I am uninsured I had to pay cash upfront the week prior to the procedure $1320.05 which was paid in full.

The night before the procedure Dr Bates called me to apologize and inform me I am over the weight limit and they will have to cancel my booking.

This whole process took almost 2 months, I would have thought that after having my first initial consult with Dr Arain and him seeing my height and size and reading the forms I filled out with my weight clearly stated on there that he would know that recommending me for this treatment was not an option.
So I’d like to thank him for wasting my time and the $300 for the initial consult.

Further more, the reason I am giving this company 1 star is because it has been a month since they cancelled my appointment and I am still waiting for my refund of $1320 I have called and emailed numerous times and spoken to numerous different people and I keep getting told “it’s not my department, but I’ll pass the message on” I’m currently not working full time at the moment because my back is buggered, I have a mortgage and a one year old that I’m trying to support. Taking over month to give me back my money for a service you have not provided is appalling and unprofessional.

I was recommend to the MPG. I was not disappointed. My experience was very good. Many thanks to Dr Paul Verrills and his team and the Monash Private Hospital.
If you are travelling in from the country the metro train is recommended. Why drive and deal with peak hour and parking, the Clayton train station is a short walk to the hospital.

Dr Simon Cohen is both very professional and personable. He explains things clearly, provides various options and follow things up.

Staff very pleasant, professional and helpful. Couldn't ask for any better. Staff follow up patients and discuss results of interventions.
Excellent health service for specialist care.

The care and compassion I've received over the last twelve years from Dr Mitchell have been the best from any doctor that I've ever seen

The staff at Metro are awesome. Dr Paul Verrils is amazing, my pain is well controlled with his help.

Easy to find parking (although this was on a long weekend) so maybe not all the time. Instructions on my welcome email included details about alternative parking as well. Receptionist was easy to deal with and efficient. Dr Dan Bates was great! He gave me a summary of what the consultation would cover, and his assessment gave me clarity on next steps, as I have been experiencing pain for many years and it has given me hope!

Firstly Very Frendly staff, Everything explained, Very clean Premises, A perfect score on everything.

The team at Monash House are very thorough in their pre surgery checks and analysis of information.
The surgery part is handled with full professionalism and the patient is completely informed about the process

Really caring doctors who just want to help you. Easy to understand and happy to answer questions regarding your pain and its cause.

I have been seeing Dr Verrills for approx 10 years now and have always found Dr Verrills and his staff to be most helpful.

In fact I have given some of my friends Metro Pain phone number if they suffer from chronic pain

I had a medial branch block of my L3, L4 & L5 both sides and everything went smoothly.

Very incompetent admin staff. My medical procedure is scheduled to be on 11/11/2022. As of 1.55pm on 10/11/2022, I still don't know the time of the procedure despite sending email inquiries and more than a handful of calls to 9595 6111 and 9595 6118 (all connected to voicemail and never called me back).

Fantastic service and care, long term patient and never had a complaint or worry around my care.

Would recommend to any one, complex cases also.

So happy that I found MPG and Paul Verrill's, in particular. After my recent surgery (Last week) I feel so good! I am able to move, bend and walk freely and without pain. In a major plus I have been able to decrease my opiod use to occasional instead of every day and feel "normal" again. Thanks Paul & the team at MPG & MHPH.

I wouldn’t recommend this place and the rooms of Dr Mitchell to anyone. I sent a referral through, followed up two weeks after and they asked to resend as they couldn’t see it. They said he works on a triage process and they couldn’t tell me when I could see him until he came back from leave. I called back when he was due back and was told I was given the wrong info and his triage assistant was back from leave and not the Dr but she can’t do anything without him. It wasn’t until 6 week after I complained it was taking too long and after having several calls unanswered that they gave me a date 2.5 months in the future which I couldn’t do as a result of other appts. In the end they put me 6 weeks behind and I would strongly suggest against using this place for anything.

I have been a regular visitor for a few problems that I have and the visits are very relaxing before my procedures.

Staff are patient, understanding and knowledgeable. Bruce Mitchell has been excellent as a surgeon and pain interventionist. He has tried and persevered with my own pain problem, and looked at every angle of treatment possible, and tried them, until I got some amount of pain reduction that was substantially noticeable. It’s given me some amount of my life back, and doctors like him are a necessity. Definitely would recommend contacting them, and be patient, until you find something that works for you
