Merrijig Motor Inn reviews
42I had a good stay at this hotel! The location was ideal for my event. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. I enjoyed a delicious Parma chip and salad for dinner. While the room was basic, it served my needs for a one-night stay. The bed was relatively comfortable, and I had no issues with water pressure or temperature. The value for money was reasonable, and the early checkout with a key drop option was convenient. My room lacked an air conditioner, but a fan was provided, which worked well, although it could get warm in the summer. Overall, a positive experience!
The crew at Merrijig Motor Inn Motel are awesome. Their dedication to their clients is next level. With Emma and Holly handling the accommodation of our tour group everything was seamless. Meals were great and the rooms had everything you could need and very clean.
You couldn’t find a better place to stay in the High Country.

I didn't stay there but wished I did, especially after the super friendly hospitality during the ski equipment hire and how reasonable the rentals were especially when overnight rates do NOT apply. However, I do hope I will NOT be charged too stiff penalty for a pair of poles I lost (I swipe AUD30 for a set of poles in which I only used for 1 downtrip attempt, did NOT need it thereafter) because of the great and detailed service provided during ski equipment hire process including clear guide of ski lifts pass purchase, b-tag preparation, etc, etc, etc (the whole works) that makes the whole experience a very pleasant and well at ease to both my family and myself. Thank you Merrijig Motor Inn Team, We will be back!
It was not the cleanest place however it worked well for us as we booked it on short notice and it was reasonably priced. Its a convient travel time up to mt buller aprrox 30 min drive.
Bro I was in this service place and my god such a horrible staff and plain rude or maybe they don't like Indians.
Got takeaway pizza from here and it was not good, raw capsicum thrown on, was falling apart and was bland.
We hired snow chains and had the worst experience. Snow chains were in poor condition and snapped off damaging my vehicle. Had to drive back down the mountain with no chains and all the lights on my dash flashing. Worst experience would not recommend hiring anything from here as they do not maintain anything here.
It has new management, our room was clean but top bunks very high with no side rail, a bit unsafe if you roll and with young kids. Not sure they would pass a safety inspection, and the restaurant was busy, they hadn't prepared for the amount of customers but were very apologetic and sorted the issue quickly. Overall a good stay. Great location.
I stayed here for 2 nights, with my friends we had bookings for 4 rooms. We had 2 King rooms, one budget deluxe room and one family room. About the rooms, the rooms were clean and linen was clean. In the family room they had a kitchen as well with enough cutlery, pots and pans. The family room was quite spacious for our group to gather at night together. The other rooms also had refrigerators, some cutlery and induction stove. They also had a cafe with good coffee, 8 ball pool table, swinging pool which we didn’t use due to winter season. They also had a ski hire shop. However their ski hire prices were slightly higher like $5-7 per item than other places. The location was also pretty good just 30 mins drive from Mt Buller. It was worth staying here due to spacious rooms and location. And overall the price is very genuine in peak season as we paid like $500 approx for 2 nights for a room which is very genuine as if you go to stay at Mt Buller the least you would have to spend is $1100 for 2 nights per room. It’s a bang for your Buck.
Did not even get to the point of booking a room. Extremely rude service when trying to reserve some rooms. I asked if the price was the same as previous owner told me when I first called about reserving said rooms. Receptionist laughed at me over the phone at this question and told me it was nearly double the price. Very degrading and appalling customer service.
Only minus is no aircon as it is in the alpine area of Victoria so usually not required.
The fan supplied was good enough for me to sleep well.
Staff were great and food was good quality.
Comfortable rooms although a bit outdated.
Would definately stay there again.
Good clean basic accommodation for three blokes and motorbikes for a weekend. Food and service was good.
We arrived after riding through deep snow and blizzards and were treated so well.they lit a fire reserved the table in front of it and let us dry a motorcycle boots in front of the fire and really made us feel welcome.absolutely lovely
Good Tucker
We just devoured 3 boxes of takeaway fish and chips and they were soooo delish. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were crunchie!
Great service too!
We will be back
Went to the restaurant to get some takeaway. Very friendly staff, shout out to the head chef. Great pizzas
Highly reccomened
Hired skis here and was very happy with the friendly service, competitive prices and quality. Thanks guys!
Love the place and have several options when selecting rooms. Friendly staff. Nice area where we have a river nearby
We sat in the garden and had the wood fired pizza. Good food, good service in a lovely garden setting.
The rooms are very nice and spacious. Great cooking facility’s but the beds are very uncomfortable old spring mattresses. All three of us had terrible sleeps
What a great place beautiful meal only to be out done by even more beautiful and helpful staff.
