Merricks Creek reviews
33Beautiful boutique winery with a lovely restaurant. We share a bottle of beautiful Rosé and a platter. 2 hours disappeared very quickly. The owners and staff are very friendly. A bonus for us was they are dog friendly. Highly recommend a visit.
Thank you for wonderful experience with the wine tasting and your company:)
We really enjoyed wine and beautiful views.
Our favourite Shiraz)
Wow! Just wow! Do yourself a very big favour and drop into this beautiful, boutique winery. No razzamataz, just fabulous wines, great service, a lovely outlook over the vines and a pretty sensational charcuterie board! The Pinot Gris would have to be one of the best we’ve tasted in quite a few years, and certainly one of the best in this region. Sam’s experimental blend Shiraz is worth trying, as is the light, tasty Rose.
Probably a new kid on the block in terms of MP wineries, but punching well above their weight.
10/10 Merricks Creek
Beautiful winery, very relaxed vibe. Loved being able to taste the wine with the wine makers and generous wine tasting.
Just had a lovely tapas and great rose, very friendly atmosphere. A nice change from some of the other wineries. Good selection of wines to sample.
A beautiful place, plenty of room for kids to run around in. Greg the owner is there handing out unlimited tasters, and telling you about his wines, I recommend the the First Son rose and the Dry Red (Pinot Noir and Shiraz blend). The tapas are great and well priced. Definitely will go again
Greg, we have to come back because we took the POS pager with us by accident:)
In this year of CoVid mayhem the chance to sit with a real winemaker and enjoy the experience, the food and the sunshine is too too rare. Heartily suggest you make an effort to stop in here. They deserve it
Had a lovely few hours enjoying wine tasting followed by a scrumptious shared lunch in our group of 3 couples. All agreed that this was a great choice for lunch and we will certainly be returning to taste the rest of the menu. The service so friendly and outlook over the vines and lovely garden so relaxing. Great vibe here! Congrats to owners and all the staff!
I had the most disappointing customer service from your winery this morning.
I understand that a cancellation of a big group last minute is not ideal and i appologised for not being able to fulfil our booking but when circumstance happen out of anyone's control and we were not able to make and then be told I am not welcome at your winery and would never be able to do another booking from me again is very upsetting and disappointing.
I will never recommend your winery and will be tell everyone I can of what unprofessional and awful behaviour that I have been subjected to this morning.disgraceful
A truly outstanding luncheon experience in a relaxed open atmosphere. You kind of just know something is special when you read the Menu and described is the following:
"Baby Black Pearl" handmade artisan goat's milk cheese by Boatshed Cheese. Light & fresh with a wrinkled rind dusted with vegetable ash. Served with caramelised fig, strawberry, raw honey, toasted fruit bread and sourdough snaps.
This cheese is very difficult to obtain and 8 servings only were allocated to Merricks Creek this weekend.
JUST BRILLIANT!

We stopped in to checkout the cellar at this beautiful little spot. Some amazing wines on offer. Really casual vibe with friendly staff in boutique winery. It’s a must for a tour through the Peninsula.
Merricks Creek Winery. I would give 10/5 stars if possible. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff and their products. Ryan was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was amazing and their cheese and quince was absolutely delicious. Peter is an incredible human and took the time out of his day to welcome us and give us all the information we required and was happy to have a chat with us. I could not recommend them any higher. Thank you so much.
Nice place to chill out with family and friends with great wine, cool relaxed athmoshere and beautiful view of the vignard. Fantastic place to spend the weekend bruch with family too. Friendly owner and nice staff. I would recommend to check it out if you are in the area.
Love coming here. The food is so tasty, such a selection of share plates that pair really well with their wines.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. Pete is a fun character as well.
The gardens make a beautiful backdrop to friends and family enjoying great wine and food.
Definitely make Merrick's Creek a place to check out if you havent already.
This is what the Mornington peninsula is all about - Picture perfect, spectacular wine, friendly service and a wonderful selection of tasty nibbles! Simply put, I'm bringing all our visitors here from now on!
Came to Merricks Creek with the gifriend and another couple and we absolutely loved it. Can't believe some of the one star reviews, the wine here was our favourite of the 4 wineries we visited on the day and the service was lovely. Wine was affordable and delicious and the owners father who did the tasting for us was nice, informative and funny. Don't believe the haters and if you're in the area this place isn't one to miss! Thanks for great Saturday guys.
Simply one of the Mornington Peninsula’s best hidden secrets. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I simply cannot believe the poor reviews here. I’ve been coming to this place for a few years, and it’s our go to place when we have overseas visitors. The wines are amazing, and the Pinot in particular is one of the best in all of Australia - hands down. The owner Peter is one of the most charming hosts we’ve ever had, and we come to visit and chat with him as much as the amazing wine.
Awesome little winery with some fantastic wine, definately worth a visit if you're in the area. Food is great too, be sure to try Sams wines.
