Meridian One

Over the years at Meridian One, I have had several coaches, and I have seen how my own learning styles have changed as I’ve progressed through VCE. Meridian One really helped with my motivation during the pandemic, and especially with lack of attention in online classes. They provided mentorship through reviewing my goals and helping me to re-validate why I set the goals in the first place as well as helping me to focus on achieving them.

The Meridian One system requires superior organisational and time management skills on part of the students, who are required to juggle their own tutoring time table and book their own tutors, both of which can change from week to week, which can be problematic. In addition, students are required to pinpoint the exact topic and concepts they seek help in, within very short 15-20 minute tutoring sessions.

If one is looking for a systematic tutoring system that understands where your child is at, what their needs are and methodically works with them to reach their goals, this 'uni style' tutoring may not be it.

Meridian One has done a great job to improve my daughter's skills and knowledge in year 9. She is now more confident, organised, focused, have "can-do" attitude, and build a great relationship with her mentor, Yumi. Yumi updated me about her progress and kept me informed about her improvement and plan for future. She was very open to any suggestion and did her level best to improve my daughter's ability specially in Science, Technology, Engineerind and Math (STEM). Consequently, my daughter has achieved three awards in last year which was amazing. I was very proud to attend her award ceremony, saw her growing confidence when received those awards and felt extra previlidged. I am confident that Meridian One will work hard and provide appropriate guidance to achieve my daughter's goal towards year 12. I highly recommend them to anyone wanted to improve their child's knowledge and skills. I would like to congratulate Yumi and Meridian One to achieve my goal set at the beginning of 2021. You guys have made me proud and I cannot thank you enough for my daughter's achievement. I am looking forward to many more achievements in coming years. Well done.

Meridian is good if your teen LIKES the school, if not, unfortunately, they don't follow up enough to motivate them better. Then, is a really expensive program for good students only. But, good students would finish the school anyway. Then if you are struggling with your teen, I would not recommend spending all this money.

Very helpful! I learned a bunch of techniques and ways to study better and manage my time well. Worth it!:)

I have been using Meridian one for a while now and it has been super successful and I have learnt so much to improve both academic skills and management skills. I would recommend to anyone in school at the moment. The coaches are lovely and I really enjoy this program

Meridian One has provided me many strategies to develop and create a productive study routine, so that I can show my full potential to the many aspects of not only school but life. Definitely worth the time and money.

I had a really good year with Meridian One. My coach has helped me become more prepared for upcoming test and exams and I would recommend this to anyone in year 11 and 12 as it is really beneficial.

This program was very helpful for my studies and had the most enthusiastic people to help work through any issues of mine.

My Year 9 daughter did Meridian this year and it was really helpful. She had a designated weekly tutor who mentored her and she had access to tutors covering all subject areas. In addition to helping with class content, the tutors were able to assist my daughter to better understand assignment / assessment criteria and provide feedback on assignments along the way. There was also a lot of resources available about study techniques, motivation, how to avoid procrastination etc. Meridian was really good for my daughter. She struggles with organisation and needed us to really stay on top of booking sessions. I think the Meridian program would be particularly amazing for any self-driven student who understands the value of education and striving for their best at school.

Meridian One has helped me so much during the senior years of high school - it strives me to do better and reach my best potential while maintaining the balance between work and fun. At a time when reaching out for help with school can be difficult, intimitating or even not possible, M1 has always been there.

I have had a great year working with Meridian one. My coach has helped me develop good learning strategies as well as keep me accountable for my learning and the effort I put into my work.

As a year 11 student, Meridian has been very helpful. The first few weeks, i wasn't very committed into attending my weekly sessions, because i thought it was a waste of time. But overtime, my views on them changed. My coach Ashlyn, taught me a pretty great deal and always gave me the most wonderful advice - because of that, I now have good time management and learnt to study more effectively. As for the other coaches, their constructive feedback on my assessments has helped me improve a lot in my Psychology and English marks. For that I'd really like to thank them. Overall, it has been a wonderful year and I shall take this knowledge with me into Year 12!

I have been doing student coaching for about half a year and i've succeeded all my goals and i have raised my grades.

I'm on my brothers account but this coaching course has been both incredibly helpful and insightful. Not only do the staff provide assistance to academic subjects, but also teach motivation and organisation to students. Comprehensive feedback is given on assignments submitted to coaching and a twenty minute call with a trained professional is but a few mouse clicks away. Can't recommend this program more, and thank you to everyone involved for actively creating a welcoming and educational environment.
