Merchant 1948 Melbourne Central

My husband and I went to Merchant for ‘father of bride’ shoes at Melbourne Central.
We were very fortunate to have Paris assisting us.
Paris asked what we were generally looking for, Occassion, style of wedding outfit etc.
Paris then brought out at least 10 pairs of shoes to consider.
After elimination we settled on a pair of boots. Very happy with our purchase.
Paris could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable and a great sense of humour.
What a great representative for Merchant.

Good location with a small but well considered menu. Wine selection also caters for all tastes - as long as it's Australian.

Don't buy shoes here! Not worth the money and certainly not good quality. Within the first 6 months of buying these shoes they were already falling apart.

I've had some of the best shoe related customer service ever at this store thanks to Maria! Everytime I've been in to try on shoes or get help with exisiting pairs, she's been amazing. She's taught me more about shoe care than anyone else ever has. Love the selection of boots, and can't recommend Maria's help enough!

I have bought at least 5 pairs of shoes from them over the past 3 years. All are fantastic and I am still wearing them. Quality is really good, they use good leather. Design is always fresh and updated, and the customer service is phenomenal, every time I go, regardless of whether I ended up buying or not. The sales associates are patient, and they will check and reserve shoes for you, call you up to inform you to come and try the reserved shoes. I have never experienced such consistent, warm and helpful associates in my shopping experience here (and I shop alot!). Love Merchant, their designs, their shoes and their staff.

Whitney was absolutely amazing, extremely helpful and patient with my indeciseness. Buying shoes can be really difficult for me because of my bone disorder but she was super awesome and kind and had answers to all the questions I had, and even extra advice. She's a true assest to the store and I will definitely be returning!

When I bought my sandals I told the sales advisor I was looking something for wear everyday and she told me the sandals were perfect for everyday. After 2/3 months the shoes were in a really bad condition even tho I didn’t wear them everyday I wore them maybe twice per week. I took them to the shop and they told me “sorry” but didn’t exchanged them. Really disappointed, really bad quality I would not recommend at all.

Shout out to Shelby who is so very helpful and patient on assisting me find the right sanda that suits my feet. Nice experience
