Mentone Aquarium

Be careful what information you take on board with these guys most of them don’t have a clue what they’re talking about. Sold me a pump that was too fast for my tank even after I told him the tank is too small for that. Also got told to just put in quick start without cycling a new tank. Been out of the game so I thought maybe the conditioners are a lot better now. All my fish died within 1 month. Never going back and will trust my capabilities instead as I’ve kept fish before successfully but these guys make it too hard and confusing. DYOR and be careful the advice you get. Manager also rude you can’t even discuss with him, he’s right you’re wrong. Also they sold my mum a sand vacuum and it was clearly too big for the tank, sucks up too much sand and too quick. Got told just control the flow by cinking the tubing, oh ok…. How about you sell the correct product.

Large store with a good selection of stock, accessories and tanks. Pricing is pretty reasonable and the staff are knowledgeable! It can be busy at times and as such can be hard to get help but apart from that it's an awesome store!

Friendly staff go out of their way to help you with any situation. I highly recommend them best reptile pet shop.outstanding customer service. So I would like to say big thank you to everyone there who’s helped me with many issues and questions.

The staff are great, and awesome seduction of tropical, and every dish and plant imaginable. Matt has been a legend to me for years, and a wealth of knowledge and guidance. It’s nice to be treated like an individual in such a busy store.

Needs and advice.

Great selection of fish to choose from and my kids loved looking at all the reptiles. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great place just to go to on a rainy or mega hot day with kids.

The only trouble is they do not open before or on time. Been there many times but end up going a few doors down.

I brought 6 guppies for $40. They all died within a week. The water sample tested was fine. The temperature in my tank correct. The aquarium refused to acknowledge that the fish were inferior. Be careful buying fish here.

Good sized store. Well stocked. Wide range of products available. Good, friendly service on hand.

Very good for beginners, the tanks are really cheap and everyone that works there is rly rly nice and helpful, they also always pick up ur phone calls if you need help, many tropical fish and salt water fish I would definitely recommend going here.

Really friendly staffs, would love to show me the snakes before l decide which one to purchase unlike Amazing Amazon where you must be certain to purchase a snake from them otherwise they won’t show you the snake.

Beautiful collection of fish and the prices are very reasonable. I gots a few betta fish from there and they are pretty rare.

Wonderful staff very helpful and friendly.
They didn't have the reptiles and fish I was after but very helpful with information about the animals I am seeking.

A very pleasant experience buying what I needed there. The store was so tidy and was very well stocked. My only issue was not to iverstock my raquarium because of the temptation.

I note this review from this person is only a couple of months old and has named the owner. I know for a fact the previous owner Bill died several years ago. I am not sure the strategy here but bad mouthing someone who has long gone and this business makes you look silly and may put off people who want a good aquarium experience. I think the hundreds of 5 stars (if that is important) speak for themselves.

Nice big clean aquarium shop. The staff are friendly. Some of their prices are a little bit pricey but not too bad.
