Seems like my review was taken down. Don't know what's happened to freedom of opinion. I found this service very unprofessional, condescending when in need of support and ignorant in how to assist someone with mental health issues. Did more harm than good. There are much more supportive mental health facilities out there.

After being on a wait list for 6 months, even though both myself plus my GP both made numerous calls to them to report an ongoing decline im my wellbeing.
Finally I was given a mental health nurse. She listened well and seemed to understand difficulties I faced when I attempted to seek help prior to mentis. During covid i was called regularly. I was to hear from her in the new year, and finally some further assistance was to be provided.
In the last week of January, i had tried contacting my nurse, and received a text from a different worker, saying my nurse would return on the 1st Feb and would call me.
Mid Feb I called the office number and was told she would be back the following week.
At the end of Feb, I called again and spoke with a senior nurse, who relayed a message from my nurse to me, giving me even more places to call and attempt to seek assistance from. (If I was able to make numerous calls, to random psychs found via google, I would have done so and avouded the original 6 month.wait.)
My GP also began calling on my behalf, and has not had luck either.
I called again on Monday the 19th of April, and was told the manager would call me back.its now Thursday, and I am still waiting.
Any mental health agency that thinks they can leave clients unsupported for such a lengthy period of time, especially when the client, and their GP make numerous calls to seek the support due to a decline in wellbeing.raises concerns over the knowledge and principles the agencys practices are based off.

NDIS really had a negative impact on this service
It used to be an amazing service, money changes everything
If a loved one is being negatively affected by this organisation don't hesitate to write a complaint to the ndis commission
These people will set up falsified intervention orders and stonewall family members looking for support then leave their clients feeling neglected
I know privacy is important but it helps when you listen to concerns others in the community have, no disclosure is needed to listen
This is not how you manage mental health, RIP to those that have passed

I would give no stars for this service but there is no option for that. Mental assist, sorry mentis assist is the most unprofessional service I have encountered. Very rude staff and don't know how to treat client's with dignity and respect. If you want to be treated condescendingly give it a go, but if you want to be treated as a person and not a number go elsewhere. There is better services out there

They were pretty brutal in the way they treated my sister (their former employee). She initially did a placement through them as part of her TAFE course and tried her very best. I just remember one of the remarks they made was "you never had a job here" but the cruelty really had bad effects on her. She has always been a hard worker, never had any problems in any other job during her life, and was so distraught by the cruel treatment she received that she never again attempted to get a job in that field. She didnt suffer from any sort of mental health issues.

They have many services here & the counselling service available here can be good, depending on who you are placed with. Like for anything in life, you need to shop around (& of course, you need to voice your opinion if you are not happy).
