More focused on keeping myself safe from students than actually learning.school is trashed with vape boxes and the school would rather use their 9million dollar grant to paint walls than upgrade classrooms or cleaning services

I am a student here and they care about uniform more than learning they have fights because they know no one cares about students and teachers don’t even care about your well-being or teaching us and most people leave because of this and bullying a new person joined my class and left within a week because of how the teachers treat us I was chewing gum during assembly like 100 other people where and I and 1 other person got a 2 day inter school suspension and its just mad I recommend not coming here

I can't believe I got a ticket today! I was just dropping off my kids to the melton secondary school and taking a different route through the bus line like I have been for the past two years. The police stopped every car and gave me a ticket for $350. I've never heard of a ticket costing that much before and I don't even know what I did wrong. This feels so unfair! "

The Principal is Dilusional & Ignorant. The Teaching Staff are Pushed to Implement the Whole Woke Agenda Movement. Don't like it Well it's True. To Students which is a Disgrace for any Child, Freedom is one thing but when your a Continuous formula of Teaching outside of based subjects is to Push Woke Idealism down all Students throats were possible, without Real Parent Concent and Create Minority Group programs and Elective Subjects whilst other Non Minority Background Students get No extra History or English or Group Program Teachings of their own this to me is a very 1 sided absurd way of enforcing Education and actually creating more divide amongst minorities amongst students. We are a Multicultural Society but that shouldn't mean English Background Students are left with no extra Curricular activities or programs at the same level as Other Cultural Students. Also Meltons Secondary School punishment system for Students is ridiculous. Pushing a Private school Mentality with the resources to back it and pushing punishment on Students with Uniform policies without first consulting or even attempting to realise MSC is a Public School as such sometimes It is not the child's fualt for being out of uniform Yet the Student will and does get punished via detentions for petty things like wrong type of black shoes. Rolled up sleeves, No lases and more, Yet they have programs that allow minorities to wear a completely different uniform if you can call it that aka street sports wear clothing. There Public Parking for School pick up & drop off is a Disaster area to top it off. Recently 2023 they have invested $100,000s in upgrading a Oval that was off limits to most students to build a Rugby & Soccer field which in theory is great though it was already their it just need posts and ammemtities and structure s put in place. Instead of investing in actually schooling education equipment upgrades for all students to become a more advance education College in the Area of Melton. Also if your child is late mainly due to parental work or Personal issues dropping them off at the school even with there own student computer sign in ticketing system you will be harrassed by phone text and calls regarding your childs late arrival or absence and that if not attended too for reasoning your child will receive mandatory detention and if unattended suspension will occur. The MSC is not a Department of Justice! They are Not an Employer or Business paying My Wife's or My Wages therefore my Business is my Personal Business the Administration Staff are self entitled wannabe Education law enforcement to themselves. Issues threats for the most ridiculous smallest issues most likely pushed by the principal and New Staffing after having well over 60+ teachers quit MSC in the last 3yrs. If it wasn't for school zoning, friends and covid previously in 2020-2022. My child would not be at this school.

No care for the students or even the teaching staff. Can’t even be bothered to take charge of serious issues and passes the buck that’s when she can be bothered replying back or is contactable.
Even has an executive assistant what a joke!
Obviously not the right person for the job.
Atleast provide a safe working environment for your staff if you don’t care about the kids.
Daily fights in my daughters class, up to 5 or 6 other teachers always involved. Other students have to witness this as she’s too gutless to act. Protect your staff from this behaviour!

Soo common sense went out the window when going to Adventure park, no one cared to reschedule knowing very well it was going to rain. And then still encouraging them to swim in the cold, and then sit on the wet grass with no shelter and heavy rain. I couldv let my child stay back but I thought with such a big group surely they wouldn't let everyone get sick and reschedule

Apparently theres no need to make unisex shorts

but other melton high schools give the option of unisex

Not great with equal rights when it comes to uniform seems girls come second and boys have better choices girls have to wear male shorts.
These melton schools really get looked after by labor gov the labor gov and det are a disgrace they go on about gender rights yet wheres the rights?
Im really sick of dealing with melton schools that get away with breaking human rights and the det are more than happy to protect their precious staff.
When my kids get equal rights ull get decent reviews until then live with it!
Ive been told by the det regional director that the school will change the name of the shorts which recently I believe they took off the boy part of name but don’t be fooled parents they are the exact same shorts just a change to the name.
I have got a case at human rights against the school for equality rights our kids deserve equal rights.
I will not stop the school and department of education can threaten me you can’t email the school unless its an emergency like I haven’t had a communication ban before lol
They threaten you when they get scared because they know you have a case against them.
Guess what im not afraid and i am taking you to human rights.
Your a terrible school I don’t recommend you to any parent i would avoid a 5klm radius of this school so you don’t fall in their zone.

Tough place to work at, staffs become very disillusioned with the place and left in increasingly larger number. 2018 saw at least 22 teachers leaving, 31 in 2019 and 40 from what I have heard in 2021 (can anyone confirm).

As a teacher, you get very little support from management and they push you to run woke policies (im only using this term so i don't get pinned for offensive languages). Management turn a blind eye to the difficult students in the name of 'mental health' without any consideration for the teachers' wellbeing.

The slogan of 'every staff and student has the right to feel safe and comfortable' is pasted on the wall of everyroom. In practice, this is anything but for teachers. For parents, please go to Indeed and have a read of the reviews about this school. Also, every teacher who has left is not flourishing.
