Melton Country Club

Service was good, reasonably priced, good choices. Staff were helpful. Only issues we were under an air-conditioning vent and had to keep our jackets on. Also we were seated at a plastic picnic table eventhough there were 2 empty regular tables in the room

Had dinner there recently and the staff were very polite and friendly both in the restaurant and at the bar. The club has a very friendly atmosphere. I have no complaints about my meal at all I had the Porterhouse and it was cooked perfectly as i requested medium rare and the vegetables were fantastic.
The chocolate desert was excellent as well. My only negative I wish to raise are the chairs in the restaurant, I think they have had their day they look padded but are very uncomfortable that's all.

More of a pensioners pokies, but if ur a local, good atmosphere and as close to an RSL club as ur gonna get here.

Amazing meals. Just like home cooking. I was there with great friends and we always enjoy our visit.

Excellent food and prices bar menu calamari and hot chips $5 had mixed grill a few weeks ago which was best ever compliments to chef.

Food was alright but it was 2 things that caused me to take 2 stars off.

1) The order took awfully long, and this being last Wednesday we were told it's a member's night so we had to bear a bit more as a lot of orders came in at the same time.

2) I ordered a rib eye steak and specifically asked for it to be done medium - well done but sadly enough it was more like rare - medium. Ended up sending the steak back after showing the red to our very polite server who went back to the kitchen and got back the order (but by this time all my mates had finished their meal and had to wait for me).

Just a bit awkward that's all.

I live this place, apart from the pokies the bistro has awesome meals at both lunch n tea times

Had mixed grill which was great and very large.salad not so good.disappointed there was no soap in the mens toilet.otherwise great service by the staff.

Food here is was horrible! I ordered the salmon and it was clearly a frozen piece that was so mushy and watery. I couldn’t eat it.
The venue itself was nice and clean. Staff were very friendly.

Great service but starting to get a bit pricey with drinks and food. Otherwise a great place with great people

Went to the Club Saturday night. We ate in the bistro had combination stir fried noodle. Cost $25.00. The quality was very poor. Small amount of noodles, meat was not fresh and also chicken was also very dry and not fresh. It had a very runny sauce which was tasteless. Spoke to the waitresses after the meal. She said she would let the chef know. But did not come back to us. Overall bistro very poor and prices aren’t that cheap.
Also order two coffees at the bar got the order wrong. But we didn’t advise them of the mistake. We just had them. Went to place a Keno ticket at the bar all three bar staff where up one end drying glasses and chatting, so I missed putting my Keno on of course it won and cost me $25. Very disappointed in the whole venue.

Food was cold and pay before you eat is annoying as you cant sit and chat, you have to wait in line.

Good service, good food and lots of it. Excellent prices, and great deals for Seniors. Membership available to everyone provides lots of good food deals and drink coupons.

So much fun at Probus in the hire room, yummy morning tea, then had lunch, very good snd tasty.

Been to the country club a heap of times great venue, foods been good until tonight, however the friendly staff quickly recified that, still 4 stars, and we'll be, because from time to time it's gunna happen I suppose.

Overpriced Pub food. Premade salad, $32 steak tough and premade vegetables. Reminds me of Hospital food

Fantastic venue, quality meals and friendly service. Ideal place to catch up with friends for a good time.

Worst meal ever. Went to the club with a group of 8.2 meals arrived, the other 6 arrived one hour later even after mentioning to staff the delay in the other meals. I ordered the fillet, medium rare, vegetables and chips. The fillet came out dead, way over cooked, and not a bit of moisture left in the meat. The vegetables we advertised as colliflower, broccoli, carrots, snow peas, and squash. All I got was one small colliflower piece, a whole heap of squash, and one small carrot, and all over cooked. I thought about returning the meal, but was afraid I would have to wait another hour for a replacement meal. Ate half the meat (thank god for the pepper sauce to give it some moisture), and some veggies. The chips were the best part of the meal. I was considering getting a membership when I arrived, but not now. Will never go back, and never recommend the club to anyone. The cooks (won’t call them chefs) need replacing. Had to give the rating a one star, would have preferred to give it zero stars but that option was not available.
