As a mature aged woman with absolutely no singing in my past I was nervous approaching a singing teacher for lessons. From the very first lesson Lisa had me testing out my high notes! She always makes the experience enjoyable and positive and I always come away feeling I have achieved something. Lisa’s kind approach and gentle persuasion even had me joining a choir after only a couple of terms – me! In a choir! Who would have thought! And its so much fun! Lisa has me singing songs that I would not have considered in a lifetime – she is always encouraging and supportive and did I mention delightful? We have a laugh or two along the way and I always leave with something to work on for next time. If you have ever considered having singing lessons but are a Nervous Nellie, I highly recommend Lisa. I am so happy I took that first step.

I have had the most wonderful experience learning to sing with Voiceworks. I am a middle aged guy who enjoys singing, never before even considered lessons or knew they were available, and these lessons with Lisa have given me so much joy. Having private lessons with a professional singing teacher is quite special. LIsa is an amazing person and an incredibly talented teacher. She is patient, welcoming, friendly, intuitive and has a calming non judgemental aura. In 10 lessons I have learnt to use my voice as an instrument and it has given me so much pleasure. I wasn't sure what to expect as a mature adult learning to sing. But after a few months of lessons i'm very happy I took this up with Voiceworks. Lisa is a super professional and supportive teacher. Was a very natural and easy process, even for someone with no music background. Would highly recommend!

Really good quality! Both my kids love their sing classes. Lisa was their teacher and each week they get detailed notes and areas to improve. Sound track etc. Just so nice to work with Lisa. We will continue in the future.

My 5 year old daughter and my 9 year old son started private singing classes with Lisa a few months back. They absolutely love their classes and always look forward to it. I can see a huge difference in their singing ability and confidence since they started. Each class is specifically tailored to their individual needs, for example, Lisa used pictures instead of words to help my daughter remember the lyrics to a very wordy song and she managed to sing it beautifully. I started with Melbourne Voiceworks late last year. I've always had a passion for music, and have always been comfortable behind an instrument. Whether you're a musician or not, the prospect of being so exposed, so open to the rawness of singing in front of someone can be terrifying.

From the very first call, to my first lesson, and now, I have always felt warmly welcomed and encouraged. I've had the pleasure of meeting many of the staff who all share the same friendly, positive and encouraging attitudes, and come with such an incredibly vast and sound knowledge. I am so much more confident in my abilities now, which is a testament to Lisa and how fantastic the school is, and to Jess, for always believing in me and encouraging me, making me feel comfortable while pushing me outside my comfort zone, and making every lesson an absolute pleasure to attend,

Lisa is so engaged and responsive and Anita is both a beautifully gifted singer/musician and a very natural and skilled tutor.

They provide so much more than vocal training. They make you feel comfortable to express yourself through voice and to build your self confidence.

My weekly half hour lesson has changed my life and I really look forward to it. It’s actually very therapeutic and helps me to manage some of the challenges that we all face in life at times.

I don't consider myself a singer. I came to Melbourne Voiceworks as a mature aged non-singer looking for confidence. Now, I tell everyone – singing is everything. The Melbourne Voiceworks team are beautiful souls who nurture and support. Anita is my teacher. She has guided me from my Dolly Parton highs to my Van Halen lows. In an impressive nanosecond, Anita learned to play Metallica on the keyboard, so I could learn to sing my favourites (yes – you can sing anything here and yes; the teachers are beyond talented). Anita has created a safe space for me to be me. It won’t be long before I petition James Hetfield to be Metallica’s female lead vocal (yes, the team are that good). I’ve learned that singing is the ultimate tool to be mindful, to be present, and to express yourself creatively. It doesn’t matter how old you are, or whether you think you can or cannot sing. Take a chance. Learn to sing. The Voiceworks team are here to help.

My daughters voice has developed tremendously over the last 12 months. Her singing teacher Lisa is a very dedicated and focussed teacher who always provides feedback on my daughter's progress. My daughter works extremely hard and is now able to hit the low notes which she is very proud of thanks to Lisa.

Cannot thank Lisa enough for what she has done for me. Having had both her and Franca as vocal coaches I can tell you that at any level of training you will be able to grow and develop in a safe environment. Amazing business that is supported with kindness and knowledge. Highly highly reccomend!

Ever since she was a little girl my daughter has wanted to sing. Over the years she has learned with several vocal coaches. Voiceworks has been an instant and resounding success. My daughter feels comfortable and loves her teacher. She has lots of fun at her lessons, while still learning developing her technique, and improving her vocal abilities. So far so good! We had a look around and found Lisa and her team. My son loves the one-on-one tuition he gets and the fact that his teacher is willing to let him explore his music, which we are just doing.
