Melbourne Visitor Hub reviews
19You can use maps, brochures regarding Melbourne tour. Building looks beautiful and purple lights adds more charm.
Possibly the best information centre ever. Such helpful people. John was our guide. He was brilliant.
Really great setting with experienced staff. Got some good suggestions from Ray and enjoyed our time in Melbourne.
Both for general information and the free tours we couldn’t fault this service. Ray the volunteer guide was excellent. Spent a morning touring the city and learning a great deal. Thank you to all the staff!
Stop here to get free information and maps on the city and surrounding area. They have lots of mini guides for unique self guided tours for a variety of interests. (Street art, architecture, parks, etc.)
Staff are friendly and helpful.
This location also offers a small selection of souvenirs for purchase.
Perfectly pleasant but couldn't provide any advice on where I could get a map of inner city suburbs
Very helpful, knowledgeable staff. We were there 15 min and left with full info on transportations, free tours and maps of the city.
The volunteer was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us very good advice on what was going on/good times for us to visit things. We got good maps as well, which while we all have smart phones, sometimes having the physical reference makes things a lot easier.
A super friendly staff member was wonderfully helpful with providing info about trekking and camping in regional Vic, including providing some safety information about bushfires etc.
So grateful to be in a city where people truly love the region!
Very useful info for anyone who wants to know more travel information around Melbourne. Very nice staff here as well.
This visitor hub used to be called the Melbourne Visitor Centre and was located at Federation Square in a building that consisted of a top floor and a basement floor, consisting of the information service, travel booking service and souvenier shop.
Since 2017 Dec, construction began on the Melbourne Metro new tunnel the information service, travel booking service and souvenier shop were asked to move out of Federation Square and the information service is now transformed into the Melbourne visitor hub located at the Melbourne Town Hall.
It is much smaller than what the Melbourne visitor Centre was but still keeps all brochures relating to Melbourne and regional Victoria.
With very friendly volunteers from the City of Melbourne in their britely coloured red uniforms and vast knowledge of Melbourne and Regional Victoria, the Melbourne Visitor Hub is the place to visit. There is no question that they cannot answer.
This must be your first stop when visiting Melbourne to ensure you receive all the information you need. Centrally located at the Melbourne Town Hall. The volunteers and staff provide insightful information. Their knowledge and customer service is exceptional.
Modern tourist info. You will get some teoretical suggestions about your trips, but you need to be lucky, that their staff knows those places personally.
Excellent place to get acquainted with Melbourne! Lots of maps, helpful staff - you will not regret a visit here
Thanks for your information. If you are going to explore Melbourne then visit visit visitor hub first.
Great place with an amazing guide to the city. Staff is friendly, approachable and full of city knowledge
Went in for help this morning and the posh sounding lady was rude, rude, rude! I have never been spoken to that way before. If you can't be polite to visitors, why are you volunteering to help them? I would not go here again.
The volunteers at the melbourne Town Hall Visitor Hub are super lovely, approachable and willing to help. They always offer up information about events and although I live in Melbourne, I go in here regularly just to pick up the brochures and see whats on:)
My disappointment about this service is they do not have a phone service on the weekend.
I’m seeking clarification to enhance my experience at 3pm on a Saturday.
The visitor hub is open but I cannot get into the centre before it closes and the recorded message when you phone is to call back between 9-5 Monday to Friday.
Tourism is important. But not on weekends!
