Melbourne Studio of Art - art classes for beginner & developing artists

We had a fantastic experience at the Melbourne Studio of Art with Sara last night! We did Van Gogh's Starry Night and had a lot of fun. The experience was very well organised, relaxing and enjoyably challenging at the same time. Would highly recommend!

Love Art Encounters. The staff are amazing, engaging and the work they are getting my daughter to produce is so wonderful! She loves it. Also the sad fact of these lockdowns means it's hard to take an 'art' class on line but that they have done an amazing job of taking classes online, keeping the children engaged and supplying them with lovely art supplies for home. Could not recommend them more!

Just finished my first Abstract course. Great pace for any level of experience. Built technical skills, confidence and general knowledge. And some great laughter along the way. Brilliant teacher. Thank you.

We were disgusted by the instructors treatment of our son today. He constantly put him down and involved his religion in the session which he knew we did not approve of. Although the website depicts the idea that will be painted in the session and we confirmed that by phone, the kids were made to paint a completely different picture which they did not like. Please parents be warned that they have staff who can be nasty to the children, I would never bring my kids there again.

I can't believe that my own son created this beautiful piece of artwork in just one school holiday session. Such a testament to the clever tutors (as well as my son's creative talent which I didn't realise he had)! Thanks Art Encounters.

I’m very disappointed with this studio. Have you ever real care about kid’s health? Just want to make money! I’ve discussed with the staff if I can change term2 to term3, because I have paid for next term. I also worried about the virus. It start to spread, unfortunately, she refused and said it’s no problem at the moment. I’m very angry about what she said!

Best place for kids to learn about fine art skills without the teachers diluting the process. The outcomes are beautiful, but the skills the kids learnt have continued with them!

My kids first art lessons ever and so far looking very promising. Have to love the building here.studios, a cafe and a garden in the back. Brilliant!
