Update! - trying to get my floors fixed, sanded and finished has been an unpleasant experience. Everyone I have dealt with either doesn't know what they are talking about or have been plain unhelpful. This is with the very notable exception of Maurice and Melbourne Recycled Floors. I've been back many times for additional floor boards, help and advice. Maurice is a true character in the best way. If I were to ever need floor boards again, Maurice and Melbourne recycled floors is the only company I would consider. Thanks again Maurice.

Super helpful staff. I came across Melbourne recycled timber floorboards after trying a number of other recycled timber shops and they had the sizes I need, plus it was cheaper than the other place. Not only were these boards heaps cheaper, they were also sanded, straight, tongues/grooves weren't broken and in prestige condition. I had to go back a second time for only a very small length and they were happy to cut off a 1m length, even though I was expecting I would have to buy the full length as is normally the case at other shops. Best discovery, especially as I will be building furniture from recycled floorboards in the future.
