Unfortunately my experience with MREC was not great. We moved into our house a few weeks before we were supposed to settle and agreed to pay rent to the builders in the meantime. Not to any fault of the conveyancers, but the settlement dragged out for another 4 months so when time came for us to settle we were not only paying rent but got stuck with all the fees, land taxes, council rates, water charges etc because it was mentioned in our rental agreement, which to the average person was not clear as this was not a normal landlord, tenant agreement and the terms and conditions were not properly explained to us.
I don't know about other people but this was my first time buying a house so I would expect the companies hired to assist in the process (the process in which I know nothing about) would make sure I'm not getting screwed.
So the next time I buy a house I will be hiring a conveyancer that I feel is looking out for my best interest.
