Melbourne Pathology reviews
11 Arrived at 8am on a Wednesday. Already people waiting, I was number 7. All done by 8: 25. Very nice staff.
Understand there are some negative reviews here RE: long wait times… it’s not always like that.
Very bad experience! The reception was very rude. Only 5 people before us and waiting for 1.5h.
We arrived before 8am and there were already 10 people before me. There were lots of nurses inside to get blood BUT it still took them 1 hour 30 minutes for 10 people! And then when I was called, this inexperienced incompetent nurse couldn’t find my vein which was surprising because that has never happened to me before. I had to stay inside the small room for 45 minutes just to wait for a competent nurse to be available to get my blood as this incompetent nurse did not want to even try to get my blood. I was so freakin hungry I haven’t eaten for more than 12 hours already overfasted because of her! When a competent nurse arrived, it only took her less than 5 minutes to find a vein and get my blood. After that, I felt sick the while day and for the next few days! Not coming here again.
Staff were fantastic with my 2 year old. She didn't even flinch! Thank you Melbourne Pathology!
I took a number and waited patiently for over 45mins for a blood test. Then some lady shows up, saying she has an appointment at 3pm… and is let in ahead of me. How is this ok? She is not an emergency case… how is it ok to value one persons time more than another?
I had an appointment for 1: 30pm
I turned up at 1: 10pm.
I asked how long would I be until I was to be looked after. The receptionist said before 1: 30pm.
At 1: 35pm I approached the reception to ask when I'll be seen, and made a point that I had to be elsewhere at 2: 15pm.
At about 1: 45pm a random guy dropped by and was seen within 10 minutes.
At that point I approached the receptionist (who pretended to look concerned) and she said "in a minute".
At 2: 00pm, I spoke to 'the manager' and expressed my dissatisfaction of the deplorable customer service. It was obvious that I wasn't the first nor would I be the last.
Never will I go to this pathology nor any other Melbourne Pathology clinic.
They were amazing with my 5 year old son who has a needle phobia when he needed to have his first blood test. Can’t thank the team enough. Thank you.
Very poor service. Waited 2 1/2 hrs to be seen. Not complaining about the staff, but obviously not enough staff employed.
If you go here expect to wait a very very very long time (as in 1-2 hours at least) this place is never not busy. I went before they opened today (7.40am) and there were already 12 people in the waiting area furiously arguing about who was first and gets the priority when they start handing out numbers. If at all possible go elsewhere. The location and age demographics in the area mean that they will never have a quiet time. So you'll have to take leave if you work.
The receptionist is very rude. I witnessed her being rude to an old lady, telling her off and poor old lady was apologising to her. Poor service.
The most painful blood test i have ever had! I felt so uncomfortable and the lady rushed everything.
