MIOG has played a massive part in supplementing my body during my Chemo and treatment for my Stage 4 Breast Cancer diagnosis (March this year). Today marks 6 months since my diagnosis and I’ve had amazing results, I can say, I am almost Cancer free. In particular I would like to thank Remi and the team for being so caring and wonderful in all aspects of my treatment. My precious husband was diagnosed with stage 4 Renal Clear Cell Cancer 6 months ago. We were absolutely blindsided by this devastating news. I was desperate to do absolutely everything and anything that could possibly help him! He wasn’t comfortable doing anything outside the conventional paradigm because rightly so he was concerned that supplements/ herbs, etc could interfere with his cancer treatment. We live in America and I searched high and low for someone here who does Integrated EVIDENCE BASED Oncology sessions and couldn’t find anyone. I literally had to search on the other side of the world to find MIOG!

The office staff is great (I communicate with them via email) and we work virtually with Vivian who is WONDERFUL! She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient, & very careful to only suggest supportive options that won’t interfere with my husband’s treatment.

Nothing but positive things to say about Tanya and Viv. I am a Breast Cancer and Leukemia survivor who has recently undergone a bone marrow transplant. I have been under the care of MIOG since my Leukaemia diagnosis last year. I strongly feel their support and personalised health plans have contributed greatly to my continued recovery. Yes this can involve a supplement plan, same as all Intergrative complimentary medicines. I only wish I found out about the clinic sooner.

I have engaged the services of Vivian Klaver for my son, she is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. Vivian is so supportive and has helped me so much with creating a nutrition plan as well as working alongside his medical team, providing an integrative approach. Her involvement has been an integral part, in helping my son get to where he is today. So thankful I found MIOG.

Perhaps this wasn’t for me. I thought I was going through my Oncologist, given the name, I am under the care of Melbourne Oncology Group, this came up in a search. I should have looked further into it as It did nothing for me. I spent a lot of money on supplements, made myself sicker on a couple of them, found the follow up inconsistent. I equally spent a lot of money on the plan that did nothing for me either. There was not a great deal of compassion shown to me, and I thought it all very clinical. What I did get out of it on the positive side was some great fish recipes. The supplements cost me over $500 and the plan cost me around $600. Could be the going rate for all I know.

We are so lucky to have Tanya and her team at MIOG with us every step of the way to help and encourage us during this very trying and frightening time.

Don’t do it. After 2 months and more than two thousand dollars spent on supplements (this doesn’t include consultations or reports which are another two grand or so), I’ve come to realise that supplements is BIG business. The review prior to mine complained about the lack of disclosure in relation to fees. Well, these people are also very quick to call you for credit card details. My experience has been shocking. Half an hour after a consult, I get a phone call to request payment over the phone and when I asked for an invoice, I received what was obviously a pre-prepared invoice including supplements I hadn’t asked for yet. I asked for a correct invoice only to receive a phone call 5 mins later insisting credit card payment over the phone – still no correct invoice at this stage. I didn’t realise that “same day payment” meant I would be forced to pay over the phone. By the way, I doubt it is legal for them to compel me to pay without a correct invoice but they have not responded to my request for an explanation.

At a time when one has been diagnosed with a serious illness and at your most vulnerable, you need to work with professionals who genuinely care about your health and well-being, not those that create unnecessary stress with heavy handed tactics. Look elsewhere for professionals that care, there are plenty of very good naturopaths out there that can help. By the way, please check the prices for the supplements online first. And speak to your doctor as well about the implications of all these supplements and your body's ability to process them in conjunction with conventional treatment.

Tanya and the team at MIOG have been an enormous support for the past year in guiding us to support our 2 year old son with luekemia. I was diagnosed with locally advanced breast cancer in August 2019 and Tanya and her team have been an integral part of my support team during treatment and beyond. I was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer with extensive bone and lymph metastases in 2019, and since that time have been a patient of MIOG. Tanya has organised extensive functional testing and continues to work closely with my Medical Oncologist. Tanya and her team have extensive expertise that is both evidence based and up to date. My experience with the staff at MIOG has been a very positive experience.
I have metastatic breast cancer stage 4, diagnosed in December 2019.
My cancer did not respond to modern medicine, so I decided to try a more natural approach for quality of life.
When making my initial inquiries with MIOG, the friendly staff made it very clear to me of what was needed and why, for them to complete a very thorough individualised plan and the costs involved.
I was also made aware that I could order the supplements recommended on the plan either through them or directly online which could be cheaper.
To my surprise, 3 months of taking supplements and diet recommendations from my individualised plan, my PET scan results have shown improvement! My specialist was also very surprised with the results and was very interested in what treatments I am taking.
I cannot thank Tanya and her team enough for their excellent advice and support through this very difficult time, I am more than happy with my results so far.

A friend who had gone through cancer recommended MIOG to me when I was diagnosed with a recurrence of my breast cancer last year. Tanya supported me through both my radiation treatment and mastectomy with diep flap reconstruction. I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in April last year. Tanya Wells and her team were recommended to me by a friend who had had great success with naturopathy that complimented cancer treatment.

Since day one I have been most impressed with the knowledge and professional yet empathetic manner in which the MIOG team conduct themselves.
