Worst university of Australia. International students please don't apply in this university they will raise new issues everyday and try to get documents that we never heard of. Recruitment officers are so rude they talk like robots and repeat same thing no matter how hard you try to convince them about your situation and why you can't have that document.please save your time and money by applying In Other universities Australian government should ban this university.

I work here in IT department. I was one time a full time student and now a staff. I do enjoy working here and helping to provide our students/staffs with their IT needs. I understood our clients as a friendly, positive, active and very passionate.

Calling MIT receptionist seems impossible. Most probably this is the only way to get info from MIT. May I please know when is the portal open for registration for 2023 graduation ceremony? Hope someone from MIT could provide this info.

As an international student studying MEng. Telecommunications at MIT Melbourne, I was impressed by the quality of education and dedication of the professors. The professors were knowledgeable and readily available to provide assistance. The campus was diverse, welcoming, and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Overall, I highly recommend MIT Melbourne for anyone seeking a world-class education in telecommunications. I am grateful for the opportunity to have studied at MIT Melbourne, and I believe that it has prepared me well for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in my career.

MIT is an awesome institute with a friendly and accepting culture. The Melbourne campus is located in the heart of Melbourne city which opens up a range of options nearby. Overall I’ve had a very positive experience while studying my bachelor degree at MIT.

Pathetic student services. Very few teachers are helpful else this institute is just a waste of money. International students come here to experience some new experiences but all they do is teach 12 weeks on computer and programs but takes final exams paper based. I mean seriously? Coming from a third world country they also know that python and database programming couldn't be done via paper based exam.
Will not recommend it at all!
Will add one more thing yet the important, you will get fail without any reason for particular units because that's how they make money. Sad.

This is the poorest institute I have ever been to. They will just trap you in their financial loops and education? It is just below average, They have some teachers which are not even helpful at all!
I requested my transcript 2 weeks before trimester 2 and then they reply me in the mid of trimester 2 to pay the entire fee of trimester 2 and then they will give me my transcript, I mean seriously? I already have paid you for transcript.
Their rules and regulations seems to be very strict as if you are in oxford but this is all show game.
Not reccomended!

Avoid this uni

Every lecturer has a thick accent and is very hard to understand; it's a uni setup for international students; the campus/building is a dead environment (you walk in and there's about 20 other people in the building in total), most classrooms have a single window and the room is painted black and white. It is painful to be in such an unbelievably dull environment, while struggling to even understand what your lecturers are saying.

I highly recommend you avoid this institution. I have graduated from 4 different universities and this is without a doubt the worst. Clearly set up to assist overseas students to get residency. Second rate lecturers, lecture material, assessment techniques, scheduling. They should lose their RTO status, as this is as near to a scam tertiary institution as one can get without putting up a notice to that effect. Real students seem to be an inconvenience. Do yourself a favour and enrol at a real uni, unless of course you're just buying permanent residency.

Best place to study IT or Nursing and more. It’s affordable than other unis and the faculty members are highly qualified. Also, they have separate lecture and lab sessions for practicals. Highly recommend!

University not competent in computer science. Their AMS system is outdated. Their moodle structures follow poor design and teach bad habbits.they also teach antiquated software that is only used by about 10% of businesses today and cannot keep up with current market demands. Students are not taken seriously and neither is their outlook on course content.the dean should be ashamed of their cybersecurity and IT courses.they are a sham and a money grab? Who signed these off? Are they a fossil?

Uni should not have it's competency to practice in engineering. I enrolled in the post grad in cybersecurity only to find they were teaching access database a 10 year old antiquated software which is no longer used. Not to mention they don't even have proper security protocols on their own Academic management system. I figured why the heck not as it was a government subsidized course and may be useful for my own business which i have in software production. First the moodle layout was atrocious. Assessment pieces inside folders upon folders. Onion layering on a university postgrad for software? They are literally teaching poor design by example. I raised this in a zoom meeting and an uproar broke out with the students in agreeance and the lecturers response to this was well we will deal with students on a case by case basis.took no responsibility or acknowledgment for students because well i guess that is how they look at students because we aren't professors? One professor Savitri Bevinakoppa seems to think that she is too good to make course content layout easy for her students doing the course. I withdrew from the course given her response to my request to structure the assessments.this was the deciding factor for withdrawing ontop of the antiquated learnings which would probably make you a worse off engineer in industry giving tunnel vision to Access databases which just cannot keep up with modern technology.

As a student at MIT, there are both positives and negatives. There is definitely room for improvement as there is for everything. Due to my experience as a second-year student, there needs to be more communication between the teachers and students. A lot of teachers reply late to emails, especially before assignment due dates, where a lot of support is required. Academic services also takes a while to reply, which can be irritating when you need an answer before a due date, such as scholarship applications. In addition, the work provided to students is fair, and is in relation to the content within the unit (s). However, I have noticed a lot of mistakes such as bad grammar, bad English, bad sentence structuring, and incorrect due dates or unedited questions. This causes a lot of confusion to students. Although I enjoy my time at MIT, a lot of support however goes to International students. As an Australian, domestic student, I have noticed that there is a lot of support for international students compared to domestic students. There are scholarships and a lot of advice for international students, but not for domestic students. This is also displayed in the MIT handbook, which is merely targeted towards international students. Regarding exam results, MIT does not provide results in exact percentages (e.g, 81.3%). Instead they provide C, P, D, HD etc which does not really feel like I am getting anything back (e.g, feedback) that shows me how good I actually did/performed on the exam. However, for assignments they give you the exact percentage. Though I have made few friends at MIT, many of my friends (domestic students) have transferred to other universities. In my opinion, this university is more-so targeted towards international students. If you are not an international student, you feel completely left out. Though I am not hating on MIT, there is a lot that needs to be improved, especially the communication, organisation, professionalism, and the teachers performance. When I say teachers performance, a lot reply late to emails, and they also grade our assignments/exams very late and it takes a while to obtain your results. Some do not provide clear feedback regarding results, and some do not even leave feedback comments at times whilst removing marks and do not give clear reasonings as to why they removed some marks. Early access to next trimesters resources (e.g, lectures, labs) is not early at all. MIT gives students early access resources the week before the next trimester starts. It is ridiculous that it is called "early access. " In addition, not all is bad. I have had three teachers that do their best to help, that reply to emails fast, that perform excellent. There needs to be more of this at MIT.

All the teachers of MIT are very supportive and always help us to lead in a good direction specially Navneet kaur, who always provide a detailed explanation of each topic and always reply of our mail and at anytime.

Never care student, staff lack of training and service is terrible. Send email 3 times across three weeks with no response. The problem solving process for student is totally not helpful. They seems lack of corporation with there partner Uni. Would never recommend MIT or Fed Uni to anyone. Studying here is just waste of money and time.

Very very very very poor Acedemic staff, they will ask you to submit an assignment on time, but they will never grade on time. As my result has been published by 10 of July, but one subject is still not graded. I have been sending them email and trying to reach by phone call but they are not answering. Guys think about it 10 time if you are thinking to get addmission in this college.
