People need to be free, they come to Australia to have a better life but instead get treated like dirt, they get barely any education, the food is disgusting and they still don't get enough of it. Australia get a better immigration system people come there hoping to get taken care of but you're doing the opposite

Horrible experience. This place should not be run by a private security company. Wouldn't wish anyone be in there.

Staff is amazing my husband in there and treat him well, food is always plenty plus more, and can have there own what is allowed. Clothing is given brand new, there is courses, classes etc. Yes they are locked in a facility, but they are well cared for and fed ive never had a bad staff member of yet only really caring ones. Thank you for respect give me and my husband in these circumstances. Appreciate it

When immigrant come for a better life they deserve a second chance in making a better life I’m devastated how long this gone taken. May God bring better days?

Very hard place to visit.cancel a lot off visits my husband is in there hes only been in australia 54 years.not good

The list is too long. It is a concentration camp that shouldn't exist in a modern caring 1st world society. People are only held in them on a politicians whim. Everything Hitler did too was legal, but it never made it right! They later faced court for crimes against humanity as is the case for those behind Australia's ones.

The only people making money from this dive are the private contractors earning big bucks sending people back to persecution and danger.

My experience with MITA Broadmeadows 1 month and a half ago while visiting I thought the staff from Serco were very friendly until NOW, they are very rude in a unprofessional way especially to visitors. With Serco Security employees there are some that are really nice and minds there own business as to those that look down on the detainees treating them as if they are criminals in prison and asking most visitors and detainees why are their friends or family are in Detention for? To me it is not there job to know why they are there thats Immigration Boarder Security to know the reason. With Serco Security looking down on the detainees they are not criminals why dont they treat them like normal people THEY ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS! If they do that why are they accepting food from the detainees during visitations?

From the day the rules changed for visitors that wants to visit their family member or friends is BLOODY ridiculous, while booking to visit via online it took 3 days to get a reply from them to approve my visit day. My first time booking online was a disappointment, I recived the email saying the visit was approved but showed no date. I had rung them coz I was told our name was not on the visitors list for the day I had booked 6 days before my visit. While on the phone quoting the reference number it didnt have a date on there computer but the reference number WHATS THE POINT OF HAVING A REFERENCE NUMBER? The person I was talking over the phone on that day I got so angry and said "Whos fault is that? " His response "I dont know" Same thing happened again this week booked for 1545 and was told on the visitors list a different time. All I can say is do you're job properly then you wouldnt have to make up so much BS just to cover youre A#%!

Last time I visited this place I was told mostly immigrants arrive here lie about the age & regional background to become eligible for residency. Immigrants pretend to be under age then they can be processed quick & fast without any other Background checks. This facility is offering 5 Star accomodation to those who arrive here illegally and can not speak English at all. They enjoy the luxurious life of Australia for free and expect services in respect, well when you go at someone’s house uninvited. You have to introduce your self who you are, still if that someone lets you in than you are lucky to be trusted.

In mid 80’s What Pakistan learnt in keeping more then 10 million of refugees was a burden on the young nation but the disloyalty of those refugees proved they didn’t deserve that respect. Pakistan kept those millions & millions of people from Afghanistan and offering them the rights same as any other Pakistani Citizens. At the end you meet those disloyal fools who were refuge by Pakistani hospitality, now they are well settled in Pakistan. Some of them decided to fly to other countries in 90’s, they flew to places like Canada, USA, Australia and England. These disloyal fools utter poison against Pakistan, they have forgotten the hard time and now don’t even accept the independence of Pakistan.

It’s same with other middle eastern countries too, land of Australia is considered a gift to them from God. Australian Govt & public is supporting them blindly and on the humanitarian basis. Mentally they are not prepared to be loyal with Australian public or Govt. Their are no standards set to educate them on their arrival which is a negative aspect of refugee centres. They only keep them as a gusts and 5star facilities, where as average Ausiee goes through tough time get those facilities for him self.

People can call me what ever names but to me these illegal immigrants should be educated before let loose in the community. Not other way around

I personally know lot of refugees living in the community waiting for last 5 years to get their background checks and enjoying taxpayers hospitality as any other normal Australian.

People who speak for them know nothing about their region at all and they want other communities suffer of their blind support for the refugees. Wake up

This place reminded me back third world country's government office, why staffs are not friendly as other Australian office (government or private), I don't know they are rude or what.something you will not feel good when u visit this place

Deceiving people by falsely portraying detention centers as "livable" is morally and ethically wrong on so many levels.
