Melbourne Hi Fi

Website is never up to take with stock levels. The last two purchases (including a very expensive high end item) were shown as in stock and it wasn't until ordered and paid, that we're told they are on back order. Last purchase cancelled after I had to chase a promised item I had paid for, only to be told it wouldn't be available in time. I get that supplies can sometimes be delayed, but why advertise a product is available if it's not? And if you promise you'll get back to a customer, then do it! Especially if you give them an expected time line. As far as I am concerned you have blown all creditability and have lost a lot of future business.

Poor customer service. Took over a month to send the wrong item. The store had no idea about the product they were selling.

John was so helpful setting up my stereo system. I have fallen in love again with my music catalog. I recommend Melbourne Hi Fi very highly.

I enquired about the SVS sb-1000 pro and the online customer service was great. I asked a several questions and they were answered quickly and knew the sub really well. Purchasing the sub was quick and easy and i was able to collect it in under an hour. The unit it self it's awesome, hits really hard, and fills my room, I haven't even begun to push it. Definitely an upgrade over my previous sub.

When I mistakenly entered 'click and collect' instead of 'ship', one phone call fixed things. Expectations met and my vinyl sounds better than ever.

Just purchased a set of Beyerdynamic DT-770 studio headphones from Melb Hifi this week and i got them for a great price, cheaper then everywhere else by a good margin and they came in 2 days so thats very good service and competitive value for money. Darren Lawrence the gentlemen what handled my order did so with consummate aplomb and was a pleasure to deal with, i will definately be back for more hifi needs as required. Dont just go to JB or the other players do your homework save money and deal with proper good sales people like Darren.

I had a problem with my earphones shortly after receiving them. Darren promptly organised a return label for my earphones, and a replacement pair sent by express post. They were responsive and really great to deal with. I understand that issues like these are sometimes unavoidable, so how they are dealt with is what’s important and these guys were fantastic. We went to Melbourne Hi Fi looking to purchase our first record player having done a little bit of research ourselves. When we came in store, we were invited to sit on their lounge where the salesperson went through our wants, budget and listening style. She had so much knowledge and nutted out and debunked all that we had read online when choosing a record player. We left with a record player, amp and speakers and have been obsessed with playing records at home. A beautiful, considerate and super fun experience.

I was really happy with the sales folks at Melbourne Hi-fi, they recommended the Project debut carbon evo which is an awesome turntable. Great service and advice for something within my budget.

I went into Melbourne HiFi showroom in Hawthorn looking for a turntable and I was immediately helped out by Amelia. She showed me the range of Turntables in my price range explaining in great detail their specs and qualities. Amelia then organised for me to come back the following week to listen to my own Vinyls on the turntables I had selected, allowing me to choose the best product. Amazing customer service along the way, super friendly, easy to deal with and above all I got a great turntable (Audio Technica: AT-LPW50PB) for a great price. Could not recommend highly enough!

I had an exceptional customer service experience with Melbourne Hi Fi that has allowed me to use speakers I hadn’t been able to use in years!

I had previously contacted heaps of places to try and get some help with making my Tivoli speakers have bluetooth functionality and almost given up on finding a solution.

I had a problem with an item I purchased, one phone call and a couple of emails, fixed, all in the last week before Xmas.

Outstanding after sales service! I encountered a problem after installing a 24v motor upgrade kit into my ageing Rega P3 2000. It only took a few emails and phone conversations with Charles and the issue was resolved within a couple of days. Charles spoke to the distributor who in turn contacted Rega in the UK for further advice. Following their instructions, it turned out to be a very simple and straightforward fix. Amazing customer service! The best I have ever experienced with any business. So helpful- offering help via text which is a much better experience than online chats most businesses have. Helped to give me all the information I needed about products and getting what I wanted within my budget.
