I am writing to express my disappointment with Melbourne Grammar School. My child attended this school for a year, and unfortunately had a negative experience.

Firstly, the school itself is a mess. The facilities are outdated and poorly maintained, and the overall environment is chaotic and unorganized. The classrooms are overcrowded and lack basic resources, and the playground equipment is old and unsafe.

In addition to the poor physical conditions of the school, the education system itself is very poor. The curriculum is outdated and does not adequately prepare students for the real world. The teachers are underpaid and overworked, and as a result, they are often unengaged and uninterested in the students' learning. My child frequently felt frustrated and bored in class, and did not feel like they were making any progress.

Furthermore, the uniforms at Melbourne Grammar School are ugly and uncomfortable. They are made of cheap, scratchy materials and do not fit well. My child frequently complained about the uniforms, and I had to spend a lot of money on alterations to make them more wearable.

In conclusion, my experience with Melbourne Grammar School was extremely disappointing. The school itself is a mess, the education system is very poor, and the uniforms are ugly and uncomfortable. I do not recommend this school to others and would advise parents to look elsewhere for a better educational experience for their children.

Sincerely,
Mike Oxlong

Good school and great Teachers but some Teachers don’t know what to do when students misbehave.

The students, including Melbourne Girl’s Grammar or the students at Melbourne Grammar’s sister school are very, very rude.i am a student who regularly takes the tram from toorak road and today i took a tram at around 3: 20-3: 30.i was dismayed to see so many melbourne grammar students at the tram stop as i knew i would have to suffer through the tram ride.when even more students got on the tram, this time from melbourne girls grammar, the tram became even more crowded and noisy.in my section of the carriage, it had been relatively peaceful, with only a few boys talking amongst themselves.then the girls came.a flood of what seemed to be year 7-8 students made their way through the door and decided that the space in front of the door was the best standing spot.they did not try to hold onto anything, something which should be common sense when boarding a tram.these girls seem to have forgotten that this was a public tram, part of the public transport services of melbourne.they talked loudly, laughed loudly and at times screamed.everytime the tram suddenly stopped, they would all topple over, screaming and laughing and hitting other people on the tram.the girls attracted the boys from the other side of the tram and the boys pushed and shoved their way to the girls, not caring about the fact elbows are very sharp and their bags were ginormous and easy to get into the faces of people standing nearby.one boy began flirting with the girls.nothing wrong with that, until the girl snatched his phone and he tried to get it back.he seemed to have forgotten that he was carrying a very large school bag on his back.he lunged forward into the mass of girls, and his bag hit the face and arms of the poor woman standing beside me at the edge of the carriage.he didn’t seem to care or notice he was harming this innocent woman who was just standing at the edge of the carriage.the edge.he managed to get his bag to hit her not once, not twice, but three times, and everytime he did so, he did not care or apologise.all he cared about was the pretty girl who had his phone.i hope the schools of these students, both melbourne grammar and melbourne girls grammar, will teach their students proper tram etiquette.i understand that trams can get very crowded around the after school time, and as a student myself i know it is sometimes hard to find something to hold onto.but the noise level, the lack of respect and the maturity levels shown by these students was honestly disgusting and unacceptable.trams are a public service for everyone, not just students and i hope every student understands this.teach public transport etiquette!

Great up until Year 10 then everything went downhill. Many teachers I wouldn't rate as being supportive or caring and did not care much to follow up on students that slipped through the cracks and did not manage those students during lockdown very well at all. I'd think twice about coming here for senior school.

A wonderful school with a mentor focused learning environment.

In particular, the literature and philosophical focus of the courses and lets not forget the theatre / acting aspect, have delivered, real holistic thinkers, emotionally intelligent and confidant boys, as compared to the rote based method of many schools and the unfortunate automatons produced as such.

I was hugely impressed with the month spent in the bush with its introspective isolation, this was a real game changer, the boys evolved exponentially and self managed from this point onwards.

Very happy with the results in my two boys, they can run intellectual circles around me quite easily, always humbling and enjoyable.

Great school! I love it! High Academics, Luxurious and posh

If you want to be enrolled in one of the best schools in Melbourne, you have to go to Melbourne Grammar. From my experience, it’s one of the best elite private schools in Melbourne, now I attend a selective school, John Monash Science School, but this school was amazing.

You wouldn’t regret joining this for sure ;)

I heard that they recently started letting boys go to this school, such a great movement towards equality.

Ahhhhh, why they only allow locals to be enrolled ;_; I would apply to this school if they accepted international students. Well, just barely around the edge to be enrolled.

I’d love to give 1star but I’ve been raised to not put anything or anyone down so I’ll go half way and give a 3. I’m sure the schools knows what I mean. I’m Mandeep’s father
