Excellent facilities. Great location. Must be the best driving range in Melbourne that I know of. Reccomend visiting here for a bucket

Great fun driving range. Very relaxing on a cool night. Very clean and well maintained. Amatuer golfers welcome (me!)

On Thursday 12 January around 5.30. I had the misfortune of visiting the the indoor driving range shop adjacent to the front counter at MGA.expecting to receive some customer service
To say that I was displeased with the customer service from the Salesman is a major understatement. Customer Service Rating: "0".
Background:
* Entered the Store with a Club that I wanted a new grip fitted.
* Salesman with a customer (about 20 feet from the counter)
* Salesman notices that I am at counter continues discussion with customer. Note: Not demonstrating equipment or on a computer, just chatting.
10 minutes ("conservatively") later, Salesman and customer walks past me at the counter and says. "Won't be a minute" and proceeds to talk to customer outside shop front.
* Another 10 minutes elapse (conservatively). Salesman still chatting with customer, no attempt to call out to me or explain delay.
* I then returned to my cold coffee at the dining room area, where my friend (who was more ropeable than I was) who had been waiting)
Feedback: Walked out the store.disgusted with poor customer service
Suggestions:
* Salesman to receive immediate Customer Service Training
* Consider other role for Salesman
Aftermath:
Friday 13 January - Went to House of Golf at DFO around 5.00pm with golf club for fitting in hand.
Within short time Salesman approached me, said that he would fit the new grip immediately, he then offered me different grip products.
Removed the old grip, fitted the new grip, completed the transaction in less than 10 minutes (note: I do recognize that if I had many clubs then I would have had to leave the clubs with House of Golf.
Outcome:
Very satisfied with service provided. Salesman both professional and courteous. Rating "10". What a difference!

Great quality driving range. Can get pretty busy, but you can usually find one more spot. Would recommend

First visit to driving range, after paying staff told us we would have to wait as it was busy, only 5 minutes they said. It was very clear on arrival to the range it was far more than a 5 minute wait. It Was absolute chaos. Returned to desk to get a refund. Was told a refund was not possible. I did eventually get a refund but only after I quoted the law to the staff in regards to their legal obligations. Exceptionally poor experience. First and last visit. Happy to take your money but when a service cannot be provided will not refund it. Avoid this establishment.

Was a good day on the range. As a first experience it turned out to be a fantastic outing with friends and family. Because of the good weather I believe it was all booths taken. The staff was helpful and had a wonderful 200 balls

MGA has all you need to practice your golf skills - a great range, short game area with bunkers and a large putting green. I have been a student of the golf professional Brendan Green, one of a team of golf professionals who are availble for golf lessons at MGA for more than a few years.

Brendan is a great teacher, someone who is able to assess your skill level and tailor his instruction to improve your game in increments. I can guarantee a lesson with Brendan will improve your approach to the game by understanding there is a time for practice off the course and a time for playing on the course. Give Brendan a try for a lesson and you'll have a new, improved approach to the game of golf.

MGA is always the number 1 driving rangenfor me. It has everything - friendly and professional staffs, food, resting area, putting, short game and driving range which it has all distances and green.it is amazing when you get there early cause it is calm and peaceful. It is like a meditation for me. Cheers

Great facilities. Great coffee with a heart and fern on the top ;-). The putting green is 1st class too, just look after your young kids during the weekend. It's not a play ground.

MGA has amazing facilities. Great prices and for some reason my ball always goes straight when I hit it here.
All in all I love coming here and will continue to do so for a very long time. Thanks guys

Update: Still fantastic! With the new addition of Pureform MGA now has by far the finest facilities available in the South East of Melbourne!

Great range but extremely annoying you can take your bag in with clubs. I like to hit 200+ balls and work through all clubs so it is painful to pull out what what I want to use and carry them in.

A nice place to hit some balls, but it can get busy during the daytime on weekends (to be expected though), so would recommend to come during early morning or night hours.

My only recommendation would be (when busy) to limit the amount of people coming in, or have a bay allocation system, to ensure that there are people not just standing around waiting for others to finish.

It is not that enjoyable when there is someone else just behind your bay sitting down waiting for you to finish your lot of balls.

Other than that, a nice spacious putting green and ample parking.

Covid check in smooth as silk, staff awesome, range awesome, fantastic brand new Srixon range balls, new mats in most of the bays, huge selection of drinks, snacks, sandwiches etc, just feels like home. So very, very impressive. Again, I must say all the staff are helpful, friendly and are really welcoming. What more do you want?

MGA is open again. What a relief to be able to hit some ball!

The place is great. You need proof of 2 dozes of vaccine though.

No Jab no entry which is fine. But don't offer a refund for my ball card which I purchased way before you guys implemented these rules. I go to Yarra Bend no issues there used the range and played a round without any issues. What a disgusting business you run. Pathetic!

Response: Okay so for the past year and half I been coming there unvaxed. You had no problems, now your saying you want to protect your staff and community. Where was this approach all this time? If you were so concerned then you should shut your business and not let anyone use your facilities when the risk of infection was greater. There are lots of business providing refunds for people based on the fact that they can't provide them with the services anymore. I got my ball card before you enforced these rules. So I never agreed to these rules. Its funny how Yarra Bend allows you play there but not at MGA. Must get directions from a different government agencies. If you had any dignity you will do the right thing and provide a refund. Again pathetic!

Won’t be returning in any rush, Poor quality range balls like they’ve all been run over by a lawnmower. Can’t take your golf bag to the range area, seems quiet pointless only being able to take a handful of clubs…

Didn’t know the no jab no entry was in place. If you haven’t been vaccinated (for whatever reason) go to Sandringham driving range, they don’t have the two tiered society there, for the moment anyway.

MGA is a great golf range with excellent facilities. I had a private lesson with one of the pros. Certainly helped my game.
