Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) reviews
64 We went to the Yoga at The Lume! Brilliant experience!
Easy to get to from Southern Cross Station too
Went and saw the BBC earth experience, the show was fantastic, and the interacive elements were fun.
Huge place for exhibitions and shows. Unfortunately it is complicated to understand where to go with so much space, levels and rooms. Definitely needs improvement in user experience for attendees with better signage across all entries and staircases.
Excellent quality exhibition centre, world class, although the toilets could certainly do with some improvement
Excellent place for a convention. Nearby to DFO, shooping mall where you can find plenty of food choise, besides its near to the Yarra River.
Big place, depends on exhibition, expensive parking.
All energy 2022 was a great event. Lunch on venue no culinary experience but it feeds you.
Nice convention centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Was there for small conference. Facilities were good.
Very well set out the was two very different expos on at the same time. There was no interference between the two.toilets were Very clean. Overall 10/10 the management should be proud
Went to the disability expo had a fantastic time came hone with three bags of free stuff definitely worth going to
Attended the disability expo today. Got some great information about services available. Attended with friends from Geelong
Does the job but parking is an absolute joke. Went for a graduation which only took about 3 hours. However this equates to over $50 in parking.
Went to see the Vincent Van Gogh exhibition at The Lume Melbourne. It was amazing! Do yourself a favour, visit the exhibit. It will be the most beautiful artistic experience that you will ever have.
Lovely venue! It made the graduation ceremony so much better! Nice layout and comfortable seating.
Easy to get to and parking so close.
Lume Van Gogh was awesome. Looking forward to other artists being showcased!
Signs were confusing as to where your event was located, minimal info stands, no many shops open, rather quiet.
A great historical building with beautiful garden surrounded. IMax and Melbourne Museum are also situated there. Even just to have a family picnic or regular morning run can be a pleasure in here. A stone throw from Parliament station. Route 96 and route 86 trams stops are at the gate. Ample free parking including in Gertrude Street. Enough special parking options as well.
I went to The LUME and enjoyed it so much! Expected more rooms but it's was spectacular! Looking forward for another event at the exhibition centre. Cheers
Great venue, saw the lume there! But don't park at the DFO end Carpark. One way in and out only! It took me an hour to get out around 9-10 at night when shops closed! Park at Jeff's shed!
Great Space that will be used for awesome exhibitions for many years to come. Look forward to returning soon
The Exhibition Centre within the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) complex is where all the major Melbourne exhibitions are held. It's a world-class modern and quite large complex with great facilities and is in a great Melbourne location, close to the CBD, South Wharf cafes, great shopping outlets and good public transport including the nearby Southern Cross Railway Station which is only a 10-15 minute walk away, and is also easily accessible via Melbourne's tram network (Trams nos 12,96 and 109) with stops right out the front on Clarendon Street.
From the Exhibition Centre's walkway I love the view through the tall glazed wall and out onto the old Polly Woodside with Melbourne's CBD as the backdrop.
Some of my photos here show just what goes into making up an exhibition and the teams of people from various disciplines involved. After many weeks of planning and designing an exhibition, it really is an amazing experience to see one being built from the ground up, only to be dismantled some days later after the end of the exhibition.
