Melbourne Cheer Academy is an exceptional place for cheerleading. It stands as a shining example of warmth and inclusivity. The warmth and friendliness of the staff and members make everyone feel welcome from the get-go. They are committed to providing opportunities to all, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Our daughter has blossomed during her time here, not only in mastering the competitive skills of cheerleading but also in building lasting friendships. We particularly appreciate how organised and efficient the academy is at competitions. Their professionalism shines, and it's no surprise they are at the top of their league.

Every session is well-structured, ensuring it's both fun and productive. In the words of our enthusiastic daughter, cheer is "super, duper fun! " This MCA is highly recommended for anyone keen on making friends, learning cheer at a competitive level, or simply having a blast.

Such a successful, dedicated and inclusive club I have been apart of for 8 years. Thanks to MCA, I have gained such great physical, mental and social skills that nowhere else could possibly provide.

I am so grateful for discovering MCA as I have no doubt that cheerleading will be my daughter's life long passion. My daughter is currently 8 years old and has been with MCA since Jan 2020. She loves gymnastic and dancing so I believe cheerleading provides the best of both worlds to her. She loves going to cheer training. She used to tell me that the trainings felt like 5 min (even though they went for 1 and half hour). This year, she will be moving to a higher level which will require 2 hours training twice a week; she said she wished they could be for 3 hours. In Dec 21, they had their first competition in the last 2 years (normally there would be 4 or 5 comps each year but due to COVID.). The competition in Dec21 was our first one since joining and it was indeed an eye opening experience, performing at the Plenary Hall - Melbourne Convention Centre. Apart from cheerleading itself, I believe the kids also gain important life long skills such as team work, being respectful to each other, being organised and confident. I have found MCA to be a super organised place with friendly and helpful/responsive staff. MCA works the kids hard, but most importantly, the kids love it and strive to be at their personal best.

Its's a fun and inclusive atmosphere. They are a well regarded large gym but with the care and welcoming attitude of a small community gym. The owners, receptionist and coaches are friendly and encouraging. I have never felt more at home then when I am at MCA.

I've been involved in cheerleading since 2005 - this is hands down the best gym I've been to! MCA is friendly and professional. I love working here and all my kids love cheering here too.

I could not recommend MCA highly enough! As a beginner I was super nervous, but was quickly greeted with a friendly, supportive and kind environment. The Coaches are amazing and always go the extra mile for their athletes and it’s always appreciated! Safe to say I’ve made friends and memories I’ll cherish forever, whilst building my skills as an athlete in a safe and fun manner!

My daughter has been a member of this gym for 7 years (2013) and it’s been the best thing she’s ever done. The owners, Danelle and Eddie are wonderful mentors, who have cultivated a very nurturing and inclusive club. My daughter has made life long friendships, has traveled overseas 4 times with the club for overseas competitions, and developed unteachable qualities like teamwork and loyalty. Over the 7 years, there’s only been 2 times that I’ve requested to speak to the owners, and both meetings resulted in very positive outcomes, because of their genuine interest and concern my my daughter. All the coaches are amazingly supportive and excellent communicators too. Thank you to the owners and staff at MCA for all your hard work and commitment to my daughter and the club as a whole.

MCA is the best gym I’ve ever been to. The coaches, athletes and parents help to support the club culture which is what makes this place so good. Been here for years and don’t regret a minute of it ‍️

Over the 7 years I've been cheering at MCA, the coaches, gym owners and athletes have become my family. There is always someone I can go to about issues, whether it's a problem in my personal life, with my mental or physical health or a problem with my training. I've learnt so much over my years as this club has shaped me into the person I am. This club cares about the wellbeing of its athletes and nurtures them, while also providing excellent coaching to allow athletes to be the best that they can be.

We have been involved in the aascf competitions for several years with a dance school but this was our first year as part of MCA. What an amazing club! The team spirit and inclusive supportive nature of this club blew us away. We had a fantastic weekend not only watching our daughter shine onstage but also watching her enthusiasm as she cheered on all the other MCA teams. I cannot speak highly enough of the strong values of all involved in this club. Thank you so much for bringing such joy to my child.

MCA has been my home away from home for about 8 years now and I can't thank the club enough for all it has done for me. From a complete beginner to now competing in an international division, I am so much more confident and both physically and mentally stronger because of the incredible work this club does!

Cannot recommend MCA highly enough for people looking to start cheer, or join a new club! Friendly and knowledgable coaching staff, and a great gym vibe. These people aren't just your friends - they become your family.

I went to an open gym with a friend, and one of the coaches spoke to us extremely rudely after I didn't land a skill on the trampoline. He told us to 'stop doing stupid things" or he would kick us out.
It was a perfectly safe skill + landing, I didn't place my hands behind me, so as not to break my arms, but that was not good enough, apparently.
My friend and I were going to start Cheerleading at MCA, but I'll definitely go to Outlaws All Star Cheer.

I do not recommend it.

MCA is the best cheerleading club in Melbourne.the skills that our daughters have achieved at MCA go beyond physical.their self esteem, team building and even emotional growth goes hand in hand with their coaches' and MCA owners Danelle and Eddie's support, help and training.

Favourite place on Earth for me. My team is my family and all the athletes and coaches are incredible. Having a brand new facility to train in has been great and it's fantastic to see how quickly athletes have been improving at MCA.

Enrolling in a squad was so welcoming all the people are so nice and helpful. The competitions are great fun, you can meet a lot of new people. I feel each class I take the more I'm getting to know my team!
