Great accommodation, great staff amazing location. Very clean and well looked after. Love the little bar downstairs

WE were in a private room but it was Impossible to sleep correctly! Noises from street & train. People have stolen our food and kitchen was full everytime or Closed!

Its good for a quick stay. Showers and washrooms are well maintained. Bedrooms are a bit stinky. Good Hospitality though

Standard YHA. Very clean, as it should be but very little atmosphere. But they have no free luggage storage and that’s just not ok! Especially seeing as they are more expensive than most.

Not too bad, apart from being woken up due to i
manager flashing torch in my face to wake me up to see if i was in right room at 3am.

Great hostel, lovely people, amazing staff, had a great experience here. I loved how open and caring everyone was to each other and willing to share/help in experiences all around Australia. Fully recommend for any of you travelers.

Worst YHA I stayed in so far. Was expecting their standards, but you just pay the high price for the location and low standards like really slow free wifi, beds are worn out like a 150 kg person slept in it. Also according to security they don’t have chargers in their lockers. So stay in any other hotel for less and get the same experience. After complaining they just say sorry and are not customer friendly according to their cancelling policies giving me the opportunity to change the hostel

Stayed in the private room, the room was good for the price. Staff were excellent with knowledge and things to do. Very Short walk from Southern Cross station and sea life aquarium. Definitely staying there again

YHA provides cheap accommodation for people that don't mind staying in a hostel, beds are cleaned once checkout occurs. Rooms depend on price paid however 8 person bed dorms are norm and people are generally friendly. The hostels "premium" wireless service caps at 3 mbit/s which should suffice for general browsing. However I would recommend paying extra for prepaid 4G services.

Rooms were clean and tidy, bathrooms weren't as clean this trip as other times Ive visited. Staff were more than helpful with good recommendations to restaurants, transport options and attractions. Pent house rooms are bigger with fridge cupboard and bathroom in room. Unfortunately from a non smoker perspective smoking is permitted on the rooftop so smoke is smelt inside and window's can't be opened because of smoke.

Good cheap accommodation, perfect place to stay after a night out on the town. Great location and fantastic staff

Good value and closer walk everywhere around Melbourne city. Would like to booked again in the future.

Nice place. Cosy comfortable hostel. Good for low budget travellers. Centrally located. Has some good places around for meals.

Clean, with a lot of space, security cabins in the rooms, big bathrooms. No free wifi in rooms and no included breakfast

Spent a night here and was pleasantly surprised with the quality, cleanliness and how safe I felt as I'd never been to a hostel before and my only real exposure to hostels had been horror movies. The room was clean and sheets were fresh; the bed was very comfortable too. All of the staff I encountered during my stay were super friendly and respectful too. I'd totally recommend YHA to anyone.

Great customer service, great rooms at great prices, great guest and great people, who work their in general. I really want to thank each and everyone who really made me feel like I was back home in USA/NZ. I want you guys to do me a favor and give yourselves a clap on your back, your friends and most importantly your manager, for the magnificent you guys do each and everyday. 1.) Staffs are very nice. Definitely not a racist. Most Asians consider this when they visit a foreign country.
2.) Their premium room is so lovely. It is situated on a roof deck. And there are only two premium rooms! I was lucky to wake up alone in the roofdeck waiting for sunrise!
3.) The hostel design is very creative. They have this wonderful murals in some area of the hostel.
4.) Plus, my room has a nespresso coffee maker and I have unlimited coffee and tea!

I would definitely recommend YHA.:)
