The Melbourne Camera Club is very friendly and helpful organisation. To access the Club one should see their website and arrange to attend one of their events. Membership fees are reasonable. The Club is very active with many events each week. There are many very experienced photographers who will help a novice learn more about photography so that they can take better photos and enjoy the results.

This is a very active club, outgoing and welcoming. The club makes it easy for novices to learn and the more experienced to compete in club and interclub competitions. Several special interest groups cater for those want to specialise. Visiting speakers add depth of experience to the many genres of photography. And a big bonus is, that if you want to enjoy a great meal before a meeting, the Railway Hotel serves great food at a reasonable price. Just a three minute stroll from the Club.

This is the premier camera club in Victoria. As well as offering a wealth of activities (often 2 or 3 a week), members get use of fully equipped studio and dark room, can enter photo competitions and get priority access to workshops and training courses.

I worked here a few years ago as a makeup artist for several different photographers and also joined as a photographic member. The facilities are great. You couldn't get better value and the studio space is really quite large and there was a wide range of equipment to hire. I couldn't say what it's like right now but my experiences in the past with the members and venue have been top notch.
