Melbourne Buddhist Centre reviews
8 The Centre is truly a place of love and acceptance. The community makes you feel welcomed and go out of their way to help you learn the art of meditation. Dropping in for their lunch or evening sessions is a joy.
The centre also holds many day or weekend retreats either at the centre or in regional Victoria. I have been to 2 retreats and come away a better person with a deeper understanding of myself and fellow man.
For a not for profit organisation all events are very affordable and open to all. I can't recommend the Melbourne Buddhist Centre enough for anyone wanting to learn more about Buddhism or even just meditation techniques. Thank you so much
Much gratitude to the Melbourne Buddhist Centre where I have learn so much. Thanks to all those who have made a friendly place to be.
The young buddhist community (17-35y) there is unbelievable welcoming, extremly open minded, creative, really active in organizing affordable Retreats, guest talks and they are always looking for depen their Dharma. Amazing that these beautiful little Buddhas are just normal people. I always like to recommend this place and especially the young Buddhist Community to really all my friends. They meet every Sunday at 6pm. The rest of the week is more mixed with great experienced teacher. This is one of my absolute favorite places in Melbourne. I love you all so much. Thank you for everything. See you soon.
I was asked to make a donation of 20 bucks the one time I came here. Completely out of my reach unfortunately.
Unfortunately it is only for people up to 35. Im 38. It does not feel multicultural rather monocultural despite growing up in Australia with Asian heritage
It feels great when I realize that Buddhism is practiced well here, I’m grateful to finally discover a good Buddhist temple in the town
I've been on a bunch of retreats with the Melbourne Buddhist Centre and come along to the weekly Young People's night on Saturday. Worth stopping into their weekly drop in classes if your keen for a taster of meditation.
