Melbourne Bakehouse

We only had coffee. The latte didn't have any froth. It was boiling and had to wait to be able to drink it. And it tasted like burnt milk. Pretty bad. Will never come back to have coffee here.

Melbourne Bakehouse is an old school bakery that still does it all. Freshly made sandwiches to order with a huge variety to pick from, good pies, sausage rolls, large cake selection too. Service is quick and friendly although they can get busy, but they get through it well. Good seating options inside and out. I love the freshness and value here. I wish there were more around still like this

Good selection of cakes, sponges and pies. Reasonable price and not so bad finding a park during the week, but on the weekends, it could be a little tricky. Seating is nearly evenly split between outdoor and indoor. They know and understand what customer service is and remember their regular customers. Dog friendly.

Pies are great here, very busy so it's obviously popular.huge range of cakes etc to go with excellent coffee.

Hands down the best cafe I’ve been to in the Port Melbourne area. Staff were so friendly and very fast service. Ordered the sausage roll which came out freshly baked and that hit the spot. My mate ordered the Schnitzel roll and fair to say I’ve never seen him eat so fast in my life. Great dessert selections as well all of which are made fresh every day. Would definitely recommend and will be back:)

That steak, bacon and cheese pie was on a different level and huge! Was an absolute sensation. Mandatory to try it.

Good bakery and cafe with a decent variety of cakes. I went to this place with friends in a busy Sunday afternoon and we were in a big group. However, they went out of their way to accomodate us. I would definitely comeback.

Best cakes at great prices. Very busy business so must be great cause they are lined up all the time.

Used to frequent here and loved every visit, however a couple of new sour team members mean service has gone downhill.

Sadly, I also got violent food poisoning from a meat pie in my last visit.

I had been on the road all day and was famished. Fortunately, I happened to find this location. Both the steak-only and the steak-and-onion pies were excellent.exceeded every expectation. The coffee was also good. Pricing were also quite alluring. Will undoubtedly return. Also timely and kind service.

Went there for bacon and egg rolls.quality was inconsistent.mentioned how one time the bacon wasn't cooked and so they made my roll in a crunchy old roll.spiteful group, used to think they were nice, but oh well.better shops out there.dissapointed.

Just the best bakery in Melbourne. Great sandwiches and rolls, breakfast and yummy breads and pastries and mouth watering sensational traditional and european cakes. All at very affordable prices. You will love it here!

A family owned baked, the service is exceptional.
They are all consistent and very helpful, hard to find service like this now days.
There cakes to there sandwiches? Are to die for.

The pies and customer service at the Melbourne Bakehouse in port Melbourne are amazing. The guy at the counter (I think Chris) was really sweet and the pies were amazing. Had to go back for seconds, definitely recommended this place.

Great place for good desserts and nice coffee. Very generous serving too which is nice. Apart from the great variety of cakes and good coffee is the exemplary customer service. This is why we keep going back and I even get cakes for work functions here. The barista really embodies amazing customer service. If you want to see how good customer service should be delivered, get yourself down there!

The most amazing breakfast/lunch or afternoon tea fresh ingredients and the smiles from the owner are always pleasantly welcoming.
It's like coming home.
Some good old fashioned favourites mixed with the traditional European style and flavour.
Always a favourite on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch or even a catch up with friends.

I visited here early morning, and got a beautiful pie and two peice of cakes. Two cakes are nice and this custard & raspberry pie is so awesome, even it's hard to eat&cut. Who cares! I really enjoyed it. The woman served me was so kind. I really want to try another bakes. Resonable price in Melbourne, comfy vibe.
