Melbourne Assessment Prison reviews
15Compared to spending 12 days In Geelong cells, the M. A. P.was just like a holiday. Fresh food, everyone except for those rats in the Bone Yard were all equal ay. Still no justice in the justice though ay.
Miss the good times here, my roommate jim would always keep me company. The best part is, when you try to leave these people play spotlight with you.
My stay was delightful, except for when it came to the showers, because I previously heard all about this "dropping the soap" business and I was incredibly curious on what happens when you do, but sadly nothing happened and everyone around me looked and said "hell nah", I was extremely confused on why, I tried two more times, with the exact same response, very disappointing. Either way the food was great, beds were a bit rickity but I reckon I can ignore that.
Incredible time. The strippers were amazing and the actors keeping you in your rooms are very entertaining. Although when I wanted to go for a walk in the middle of the night I wasns't allowed to which I found a little annoying. All in all though I had a great time, for some reason there was a minimum stay of 2 weeks but free of charge so I can't complain too much. Solid stay, would come again.
Sort stay. Food was horrible and so was the service. Rooms are cold and beds are bad would not stay again.
First went here when it was THE MELBOURNE REMAND CENTER, and after being in the cells it's a nice change being able to sleep with a mattress, sheets and a pillow is heaven. The canteen was OK if you have money. I would recommend putting it on a DO NOT GO THERE list as good advice. Haven't been there since 2002 and I don't intend on ever going back
Free tasty food, free housing, single room for yourself, clean bathrooms and toilets. Excellent. Lovely stay I had.
Was sad that i did not have a very nice view of the city because bars were blocking the view.
Otherwise do not recommend dropping any soap,
Showers were an experience to say the least.
Cant wait till my next stay
Lots of fond memories that I look to when I'm down, this always brings a smile to my face, and it helped shape me into the person that I am today.my most fond memories are in the showers (because that is where i lost my virginity)
I grew up here, I am Bukak Chickens daughter.and now I am her wife. BUKAK TAUGHT ME HOW TO BE LESBIAN!
Kindergarten Review
My daughter grew up here. She made lots of friends and learnt a few things from them. I wish I also went here.
10/10 would send my daughter there again

A VERY IMPOSING JUSTICE BUILDING IN THE CITY CENTRE
The Melbourne Assessment Prison is a large modern red brick building on Spencer St (corner of LaTrobe St). It is part of the department of justice complex that holds suspects and those charged with offences prior to court appearances. Its outer facade is very bland with high walls and no connection to the streetscape. An essential service but it is surprising that it occupies such prime real estate
My partner is in there for the second time. The first time the staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are a tad spartan, however it is by far the most affordable B&B in the CBD so you get what you pay for. I'd be happy to stay here again if I had no other choice
