Melbourne Airport Motel

OK, let's proviso this review. 9pm, cancelled flight (thanks virgin) I just needed a place to sleep until next morning's flight. This was the cheapest, closest option I could find. It was meticulously clean, comfy bed and the proximity to the airport was as good as it gets (<4km). Highly rated for this scenario.

Recently stayed here, staff were very accomodating. My partner had recently broke his leg and had limited mobility.
They were able to give us a ground floor room and were really friendly and helpful with all our needs.
Was able to check in early.
Was able to leave our car at the premises after check out to attend doctors appointments.
Room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable bed.
Could not hear the planes at all when in our room with the door closed.
Had great little court yard on our room.
Made up our room and freshened it up when requested.
Would happily stay hear again when travelling, one of the best places I have stayed at when travelling.

I was in the area, to surf the wave pool, @urbansurf#, so found Melbourne Airport Motel, way under the price, of other motels, in the area. Reception was very helpful, over the phone, with contactless booking, a welcome service, when travelling and needing, a later check in.
Rooms were immaculate, and well presented, with fridge, tea and coffee facilities also.and the bathroom, and shower, were clean, well presented, and ample for me.
Bed was super comfortable, and although located, near Tullamarine airport, there was very minimal noise heard, so the sleep was excellent.
I will definitely be back when I next need to be near the airport.

Drive down from Sale Victoria to start my next exciting journey and have to get up at 3am to catch my flight
The motel is very small with nowhere to hang up your clothes and nowhere to put your suitcase
For nearly $200 I would expect more
The glasses in the fridge are not clean and there is a dead fly by the power switch
The floor is not vacuumed properly and the television does not work and the room needs a good dusting
The bed is comfortable
I will not stay here again

Great place for a stopover before flying off the next day. A tad expensive but all worth it. Rooms are clean and smells great. Nice friendly staff. Ample free on site parking. Will definitely come back before here for a pit stop before Mr next flight.

Have stayed at this motel quite a number of times. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are divine and kept exceptionally well. Close proximity too the airport. With a motel bus service too and from the airport if needed

Wheelchair Accessible Room was perfect! Massive Bathroom/Toilet area, Friendly Staff, Bed was Comfortable and Price was good also.
Great place to rest up before heading to the airport if your in a Wheelchair. 5 stars.

Room is beautifully appointed, bed is divinely comfortable after travelling all day, very clean & quiet.

Very clean, affordable, cosy and modern accommodation, close to airport, with access to outside balcony or courtyard. Beds, pillows & linen were all very clean and comfy. Bathrooms were very stylish & functional!
Convenient shuttle to/from airport during operating times, otherwise Uber to/from airport-accomodation is around $20. Thanks Tony for a great stay, would highly recommend!

A good, simple place to stay after a late night flight or an early morning departure. Despite being on a busy road, once the rush period is over it’s very quiet.
Rooms are small but this is designed for the one night stay rather than a couple of nights.

A fair warning: Do not leave your car at the premises.

My husband and I are currently stranded out at Melbourne Airport trying to find our way back to this accommodation where we left our vehicle and trusted the owner to pick us up to take us back as promised.

Once we landed and called him, he told us he cannot do it anymore due to a recent announcement from the government not allowing him to - which is fair enough (although we still cannot find anything about not allowing shuttle services due to Covid on government websites nor does it make sense since Victoria is currently in the middle of easing restrictions if anything?)

What is not fair is that we now have to cop the fee for a taxi back. There was no remorse from the owner, and his only response to the situation was to tell me to "claim the costs from the governement" and rush the conversation so he can end the call as quickly as possible.
He made no effort to offer any form compensation, whether it be waiving the $49 fee (or some part of it) we paid to park the car there for four nights. Nor did he offer to arrange any sort of transport for us. Or at the least some empathy.
He asked what he would like me to do as a compromise and I mentioned the above options and he brushed me off. He told me the conversation we were having was only showing my personality and made me sound like a horrible person for even trying to converse him about the situation at hand. In unprecedented situations such as a pandemic, my husband and I have never experienced a business who did not to go out of their way to provide services they say they would or at least care about how they provide a service.

I hate to be someone who puts down anyone's business but I also do not want anyone else to in our situation.

On another note, I would like to praise the location of the motel and the cleanliness. The bathroom was very nice.

I hope the owner considers what is like to be the customer when situations like this arises next time. A business thrives best when you take care of your customers no matter the situation.

Gorgeous room very close to Melbourne Airport. I worked with Tony (the owner) as I needed a room urgently (rang at 5pm for a room that night) and he couldn’t have been more helpful and kept me updated as I was out of state stressing about where I would be staying. The room and bathroom were spotless, the bed and bedding were clean and super comfortable and there are plenty of power sources available next to the bed. The room also has a microwave, mini fridge, and kettle available, and a private patio area. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for those needing to stay close by for a transit through Melbourne Airport or even if you needed to be in the area for a few days. You would not regret staying here and if you do I hope you have the pleasure of working or speaking with Tony who was an absolute lifesaver!

Absolutely terrible place to stay. Paid for two kids to stay as it had an option online but then showed up and they do not provide an bedding/cots. They do not provide cots or any additional bedding so we had to sleep on the floor. In addition, the manager was hostile and rude when we questioned it why there was no bedding for children

Fantastic location. Extremely clean rooms with nice decor. Nice comfy bed and didn't hear any traffic.

From opening the door & smelling the

beautiful scent to seeing how clean the room was. (I could tell from the outside that I would enjoy it).

Simple room beautiful bathroom & the bed & bedding was so comfortable. I had planned to explore yet ended up ordering in & laying on the bed relaxing.own completely private courtyard as well.

Being completely private laying on the bed watching the stars was amazing.

Complimentary airport shuttle which Tony the owner drove.very hospitable & a very nice man.

The man who runs this place after hours was so unbelievably rude I’m still in shock. Twice I messaged him to tell him we’d have late check in. Twice I received no information. I had to call at nearly midnight to ask what actually happens when we get there. We called twice because I misheard the room number. He yelled at us for waking him up in a rude tone and insulted myself and my husband. Put a sting in our honeymoon for sure. YOUR HOTEL IS OPEN UNTIL 12.00am! I’m the customer! I’m paying you to be nice to me and give me information. 2 stars merely for the bathroom facilities.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the interior. Was very simple and fresh and the owner set up a room for me even though I arrived at midnight.

Would stay here again for a layover flight.
