Melba Fish & Chips Shop.

Every town has a FIsh & Chip shop and in some cases there are several. I've had my fair share of Fish & Chips over the years and these guys are the best in town. I've never had an issue with ordering, I've always received what I've ordered.which is more than I can say for a few others in town. Always good to phone ahead and head on down, their service is great, always friendly and never rude. Prices are good and the quality and taste is even better. Their Grilled flake is excellent and their chips are the best in town! Roughly $7 worth to suit 4-6 people easily. I would definitely recommend their potato cakes, Dim Sims and their schnitzel burger is also amazing.

Best place on Sunbury for fish and chips. The fish tastes delicious and the batter is crispy.

You can't beat Melba Fish 'n' Chips my favè been going there for years you must call and order in advance they are incredibly busy, flat out on a Friday night in particular

Food was lovely but the young man who took our phone order definitely needs to work on his phone skills very rude and abrupt.

Food was stodgy, fried dim sims were soft, fish was crumbed and I asked for grilled fish, horrible and so fatty, greasy. Will never revisit

I can recommend their speedy service and they must be good, because I pick up from them as a DoorDash driver on a regular basis.

I ordered fish n chips tonight over the phone. I was told a 30 min wait, I was surprised only 30 mins as it is Good Friday their busiest day of the year. Got down there 25 mins later to pick up and the queue was going out the door and down the street, I joined it thinking it would be a longer wait than I was told over the phone. To my surprise, I was called within 10 mins. They were super busy but seemed to be handling it well. I'd never been to this fish n chip shop but I'm glad as the chips were delicious and so was the flake and pot cakes. Defs will be back

Best Fish and potato cakes in Sunbury, lovely, thick and juicy, None of the thin dry stuff that some places supply.

Had, as usual, a great feed from Melba Fish & Chips Shop. Has to be the best in Sunbury I think. Fish, chips, burgers, dimmies, corn jacks, they were all yumm. I didn’t eat it all by the way, we did share!

I got home opened & my chips, every single chip was soggy. I was so dissapointed because they used to always be good.

I was told best Fish n Chips in Sunbury - good Chips, spring rolls & real potato cakes - the fish was good, had better - if I hear of a better place in Sunbury I'll try it but I will go back if I get a Fish n Chip itch until then.

Melba sits at the bottom of a hill, but sits above all others as a palatine of fried goodies. Melba has half of Sunbury’s high school populace in its employ, which is essential for the cavalcade of customers which pay homage to its deep fryers each Friday.

The place is so gloriously intoxicating that for Good Friday this year they employed a speaker due to the crowds flocking to order. The sight was such that if you put a monochromatic filter over the top you would think it was depression era America.

If that’s not a testament to this great vendor of savoury delights, let this review whet your curiosity.

Having tried almost every Fish & Chip shop in Sunbury, and multitudes in several different countries over the years, I can honestly say, “The fish and chips at Melba are the best I’ve ever had. ”
There’s nothing else to say. “Hands down, THE BEST. ”

A little hit and miss.sometimes it's great food, sometimes it average.
Have a crack tho when the souvlakis are good they are magnificent.

Must be new owners. Customer service was disguisting the lady blamed it on us. The dim Sims were rubbery and looked like they'd been sitting for over 45mins. The boss claimed it was our fault for being there to pick up the order after 15mins when we were told it'd take that long. The staff are okay but the boss clearly can't handle customers.

Wow.best fish and chips to date. Generous serves. Large pieces of fish. The meal for two would easily feed 3 to 4 people. Fresh food, clean tasting.no heavy oily after tastes. Basically a brilliant and quick Sunday night dinner that was good value, filling and no complaints from the fussiest of eaters. Well done. Keep up the good work. Yum

Boss, a great man. Hard working family and staff, always busy but always friendly. Best Chips in Sunbury. Order on the phone to prevent "line out the door and waiting" regret. Very loyal to loyal customers. Enjoy!
