The doctor's here are very knowledgeable and you can create a good doctor / patient relationship.

Great clinic, all of the staff really care, from the front desk, the nurses and the doctors. Highly recommend

Thank you to the receptionists and doctor that looked after my 19 month old son this evening. I walked in with no appointment and they were all so kind and accomodating. I was in a state of panic and I felt at ease after the kindness that everyone showed us. Thank you all very much. Couldn't recommend this clinic more highly.

Be prepared to wait.
Made an appointment at 2: 40pm. We were asked to come in by 2: 30pm (which we did). We didn't get to see the doc till 3: 15pm.

Thank you to Dr Lee for helping us with a telehealth consult this morning. My 17 month-old has tested positive covid and his condition worsened overnight. I called Mediscreen first thing on Sunday morning and they fit me in, even though they were already highly booked. Dr Lee was thorough and caring and her recommended treatment was very effective. We are so grateful for the care we received this morning. Thank you Dr Lee.

We have been going to Mediscreen Clinic for years and the clinic has only improved during that time. Dr Shirley Chu runs a fabulous team from helpful and patient front-of-house through to the caring, attentive and resourceful physicians. We absolutely love Dr Cathy Wang and Dr Avi Kamale and one of the newer physicians Dr Julian Lim has been brilliant to deal with when our regular GP's are not about or booked up. Thank you to the Mediscreen Team!

Our family has been coming to the clinic for over 30 years. Probably to the days of Dr Bernie Friedman?

In the past 10+ years we have seen Dr Kamale, Dr Shirley, Dr Julian and others. And also ALL the nurses.

Everyone has been exemplary. A credit to their profession.

BUT:
The ONLY complaint we have is with one of of your receptionists. Who we won't name. But you should know who she is by now. Your patients know her too. There are complaints on this thread from other patients who identify her. She is rude, uncooperative and hostile. Downright nasty.

It is so bad that we have been forced to try other medical practices.
We even asked our Specialist to refer us to other GP practices in the area.

The ONLY reason we went to other GPs is because we could not bear the thought of this receptionist answering the phone or dealing with us. It is awful. Sometimes when she answers the phone we hang up.

But we always come back because of Dr Kamale and Dr Shirley.

We can't take the risk of offending your receptionist because we are vulnerable. We have no choice but to tolerate her rudeness and bullying nature.

So here it is. Honestly.

We believe this individual damages your reputation, and harms your ill patients in Hawthorn East (and elsewhere).

Your obligation is to your patients. Please remember that fact.

My family sees Dr Chu and she deserves 5 stars. However there's one particular receptionist that gives me anxiety symptoms every time I have to speak with her because she is extremely rude, disrespectful and condescending. I've always been polite and friendly towards her, which is why I feel so strongly about this, apart from the fact that she shows no improvement despite the many complaints from patients over a long period of time. To be honest, it's quite shocking that Mediscreen would allow patient's to be treated this way.

Dr Julian Lim has been great with our test! Also give us a follow up call as soon as results are out! Very friendly and efficient!

Went today to see Dr. Shirley Chu.she couldn't be more thorough, compassionate or caring. I'm so very grateful for her expertise. I've been seeing her for many years and as a nurse I couldn't be happier. THANK YOU.

If you need help getting information about an E Script then don’t speak to the Practice Manager at this clinic! One of the single worst interactions with another human being in my life and completely inconsiderate! Manners are free and despite the current environment and trying to communicate calmly, this was far from reciprocated!

Dr Kamale is very professional and very knowledgable Dr that I have seen in Melbourne.since 2009 he is our GP. Even though we moved to some other suburbs I still prefer him. Thank you Dr. You the best in the town. I don't mind traveling from Melton to see you. Yesterday I took injection with some nurse there she is really gentle and very caring.

Kind doctors and staff with a great amount of knowledge of their work! Staff are friendly and willing to help at any time.

My experience with Dr Kamale has been very good. He is caring and professional and really looks out for his patients.

I had very bad experience waiting for my appointment from 8: 20 still Did not see the doctor from 8: 45
If you provide the right time for appointments you should look the patient at time

Not good

Waiting for my 9: 30am appointment when a woman comes in wanting a script for contraception. The receptionist calls the doctor to let her know that this patient is wanting this script and is in a hurry, and so this person gets called and I’ve been waiting for 20min even though I booked an appointment. Contraception hardly an emergency either. Not happy!

We love this clinic but the receptionists are consistently quite rude and abrupt - especially Dianne - she’s condescending and will help you eventually, but won’t be happy about it.

Absolutely the best. So glad I have found this clinic. Can always make an appointment and the dr's are all fantastic - also a bonus that they are open Sunday's and have a chemist on site! Fantastic place
