Medicare reviews
20 I think the low rating is a strong case of negative bias and frustration. As public services go, the team were polite and super helpful. I did have to wait a while but I got my problem sorted same day as a walk in (comparatively, I wasn't even able to get through to a person on the phone!)
Thank you to the team, keep up the good work!
Visited for the first time and issue related to linking medicare to my gov with critical system error resolved.
This department needs serious improvement. Its just too much to wait 2/3 months for a medicare card enrolment.
And somehow if there is any error then you will loose half of the year from your life waiting and correcting for it.
And if you call then the amount of time you need to wait like you driving from Melbourne and when you arrive in great ocean road they will answer your call.
Its just pathetic.
Exceptionally rude staff in Centrelink A year of training to learn how to deal with customers would not be enough for them
Furthermore, they need to gain knowledge in dealing with cases. They literally have no idea what they are doing unfortunately.
So many errors made on their side. Additionally, they are so slow
People so nice and friendly! Help me to do my Medicare. Takes 6weeks! Better to come early morning, less people
I have sent emails in relation to my Medicare enquire but have not received any response since November 2022.
I try calling but no one receives the phone call and I am always put on hold with no one getting back to me…it’s so bizarre and strange. Not sure who can I ask for assistance with this.
Big thank you to Faye, the Windsor Medicare officer who helped to review and finish a Medicare application for the family of 5 on the spot. They've been desperately waiting for their Medicare cards for over 2 months.to visit a doctor with a sick child. Thank you Faye!
The worse customer service experience of my life! Spent 35 min on the phone waiting for someone to answer and that person didn’t want to help me and sent me to the office. I drove there and they said they don’t have a drop off box and gave me an email to sent the forms. When I sent the email I go the response they don’t process Medicare rebate forms
So now nowhere to go? !
Crazy
I wish I could give 0 stars. Incompetent staff, the guy at the check in (with the violet T-shirt as of today) was so rude and I honestly I have no idea how he is allowed to work there at all with that attitude. When I told him I was having problem linking my covid 19 digital certificate his answer was "well, it's not my problem". Yeah it's not your problem but it's your job to help people that come there for help. You should go work somewhere else where you don't interact with people with that attitude.if you need something just call them with your phone, it's quicker and they are more professional.
EDITED: I was on the phone with someone from medicare and finally after a month I have the digital certificate, seriously you guys are useless. Even the supervisor said they couldn't do anything and someone on the phone managed to do it.
Hopeless. Impossible to talk to anybody about my bank details. I waited for almost an hour. Tried again last night. Gave up.
What a complete waste of taxpayer funds. Zero care or effort in assisting me in updating my address.
For Medicare claims, they no longer have the dropbox to drop off completed forms, "gentleman" at the desk tried to encourage me to sign up for MyGov account - no thanks, how about just re-installing the dropbox so people don't need to waste postage to mail in their claim forms? Vote for a Federal Gov that will put the Care back in Medicare.
Just visited Medicare prahran for my enrolment with medicare. Was in and out of the place in 5 min. The person at the help desk was very polite and Helpful. Highly recommended being prepared with paperwork which is available online.
Went in to get my Medicare set up. Being from the states I had a nice experience. I went earlish (1030am) and the check in was easy was told a 30 minute wait. The room was clean, chairs were comfy and clean service was top notch. I did not catch the employee who helped me but she was friendly, fast and informative.
If there solely for Medicare go elsewhere. Long waits, inept staff, no customer service skills shown, sad.
A very unwelcoming, unfriendly atmosphere from a few different staff, not all but a few. Went in to get Medicare and was looking a medicare enrolment form, the woman at the counter couldn't tell me where to get it as this seemed such a bother to her when asked anything, the security guard overheard my question and provided me with an enrolment form and was very helpful even though I assume this wasn't in his job requirements.
I provided all the documents required but was told in a very patronizing and ignorant manner i needed a medical card as extra identification and that i was holding up the queue (when I was called over by her in the first place), so had to come back a few days later.
Different staff member dealing with me today and this document wasn't even necessary, nor was the unprofessional attitude shown by a few members of staff, perhaps a bit of retraining in customer service wouldn't go a miss, would definitely AVOID and go to a different Medicare centre in future.
Went in to get a medicare rebate. The lady who checked my claim was super efficient and friendly. Excellent service
Very good service, all the staff is very helpful. There is a wait time due to high number of customer but later days of weeks are not so crowd.
Inept service. Waited for over an hour and didn't get what we needed. I suggest going to a different Medicare centre!
Appalling system in place. Zero for customer service. I was in a hurry to collect my wife from the Alfred and all I needed to do was drop-off my already filled in Medicare claim forms in the drop-off box as before. The drop-off box has been removed! Why? You now have to queue with ALL other people attending Centrelink office to be triaged at the desk. This is always an extremely long queue. Why is there not a stand-alone Medicare desk? Why is the drop-off box gone? Security guy controlling the queue "tell it to someone who cares". Needless to say, I left. Who are the geniuses who implement these systems? To top to off, I have to give them a 'Star' to post my complaint - please ignore my single star. Honestly.
