Rang Medibank Private today and spoke with the most loveliest, professional and helpful health insurance advisor Lindy from Qld that we have ever had the pleasure of calling. She went above and beyond to assist my mother and I with our questions. She definitely deserves a bonus because she represents Medibank extremely well and provides superior service which is exactly the type of wonderful person customers should be dealing with. Thank you for all your help.

Been there yesterday for the last time, that Indian guy at the reception desk was extremely unfriendly to me! I got cut off while saying my needs but he never let me finish! Bad attitude and rude behavior throughout the entire process!

Came here to claim extras and spoke to sales consultant Andrew. Advised cannot claim online as the item number isn’t working (tried to call Medibank also). I Emailed the PDF file to consultant and he tried to print it out but only the first page was printing. Consultant asked me to go officeworks to print it and come back as there is problem printing it. Saw on the printout there is ink discolouring so wouldn’t be issue with the file (also computer said it was printing more than 1 page). Told him I was on lunch break so will need to come back another time and he asked me to just print the file at work (if I could print it at work why would I be here). Please note all this time he didn’t ask me for my Medibank member number and didn’t verify ID. Once the file didn’t print he went and ripped the previous pages he printed in half and threw it in the bin (not in shredder like you should due to the data privacy). Consultant was also telling his colleague about the sale he just made upgrading someone from ambulance to higher cover while he was waiting for the file to print. I guess he just didn’t want to waste his time helping me with the claim and want to serve a customer to reach his sales targets. This is horrible customer service, compared to when I came into the store previously to claim the extras.

Had a great experience, got all the info I needed and signed up for my insurance in only 15 minutes! Andrew who assisted me was fantastic and quick, look out for him when you visit!

Rude, unhelpful dismissive staff.
I have been with Medibank my entire adult life without making a single claim. After recent medical expenses I phoned Medibank to check if any of these were covered, on two seperate occasions staff checked the medical item numbers and confirmed my expenses would be reimbursed under my level of cover.
I brought original receipts and a medicare statement to the Galleria office thinking this would help the claim be processed quicker. The staff member was extremely unhelpful, and without checking a single item number or even knowing what I was claiming she simply said "I doubt this will be processed, but you can lodge it if you'd like" without giving me a reason as to why. She then refused to give my receipts back. When I asked if i could get a copy she replied with "no.take a photo".

I still have absolutely no idea when or even if my claim will be processed.

I have been a member for my entire life with Medibank private. Firstly my premiums paid have added up to approximately 60K over that time. I have claimed a handful of physic appointments and thats all. I now need shoulder surgery which i am covered for. Medibank workers have said verbally to me on 3-4 consecutive occasions I am covered for my hospital stay even though my shoulder surgery is not covered. The surgery is on muscle and bone that happens to be in the shoulder not actual shoulder surgery. Their words.however my hospital stay will be covered. LIARS. I have found out when trying to submit my hospital admission I'm not covered for anything. On the phone Medibank doesn't care and ignores me. They told me they submitted a complaint but on further calls the did not. They are a horrid soul less company. Your better off putting your money in a separate account than give it to these pigs. They also lied to my wife in person saying she didn't need pregnancy cover when that was the whole reason we went to the shop. The customer service person stated, just come back when your pregnant and we will get it. We were not told about a 12 month waiting period. In short gutless, soul less company with no morals.
