Meat Me, Souvlakeri Grill House

Stumbled across this magnificent restaurant and had a fantastic meal.

Absolutely one of the friendliness and professional eateries this side of Melbourne. Huge meal sizes and value for money, the meat both chicken and lamb were tender and tasty.

For a minute Sitting out in the sun and enjoying the beautiful meal I though I was in Athens. The ambiance was spot on, the staff were exceptionally attentive without being annoying.

Highly recommend.

My family and I were lucky enough to come down to Oakleigh today for a meal after some personal engagements in the area. I can not recommend Meat Me highly enough.
Beautiful lamb cooked to perfection and stunningly fresh and delicious greek salads with tomato cucumber olive and red onion lovely chips and coffee perfection.
We were greeted promptly by polite and helpful staff, seated quickly on clean tables.after ordering our meals they were delivered hot before my coffee had time to cool.

Very polite and prompt service. Had a mixed souvla platter with salad, chips and also dips and pita bread. Chicken was the best meat of the three (lamb and pork also included). The others were a bit dry. The taramasalata was quite salty. The other dips were tzatziki and eggplant, which were nice.

I’m sure the food is amazing, but I left a voice mail and sent an email with no response so my partner and I decided to come down we were told it would be a 15 minute wait we were hungry so we left very disappointing.

Absolute epic food and always a great vibe. My go to place in Oakleigh all the time. Highly recommended the char grilled octopus and a mixed plate.

Great greek food & friendly waiters (a couple cute). This is the mixed gyros plate. Fried zucchini chips and fetta sides also delicious.

Poor inflexible service. Refused to serve me fish as a main course with my Greek Salad. I did enjoy the salad but was disappointed that they were not prepared to serve me fish instead of fried calamari

Ordered Mix Grill for 2 for lunch on Monday. Total 59.00 AUD. There is a surcharge for Card payments.

The Mix Grill for 2 came on a large plate, filled to the brim with meat, and a tray of chips on the side. The meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned. They were generous with the lemon, and tzatziki dips. There was a good variety of meat to keep you from being bored. The pita was nice, fluffy, and perfectly complemented the meats. Small downside was they could have provided more slices of onions and tomato.

The staff were friendly and the service was considerably quick.

They can go better with the food portions, in particular with the side dishes when you feed more than two but you are served for two.

Absolutely amazing Greek food. Ordered 2 platters and 6 people couldn't finnish it! Fresh food, generous platters, good prompt service with a smile. Definitely recommend it.

Busy nights are crazy there, waited over 30min to get a table. Many says its because their food is really good. Ive grown up on Greek food and would probably say its not worth waiting 30min for a table. Its good but seriously there's other places for tastier gyro. I'd definitely go again maybe when its quieter, as any place that is that packed, dont expect the best food ever.

Can't recommend it enough. I lived my entire life in Greece and meat me is the only place that I feel that their Gyros is even better than home.

Very nice atmosphere here and very busy (the whole street is and the street is the place to go for Greek food and cakes!). The menu is good and they have wonderful sharing platters! We had a starter, a salad and souvlaki shared and had too much food! Delicious though. Only thing I'd say is they could have slightly nicer quality tables to sit at!

Paid 52$ per person for a 'banquet' that consisted of 3 drops of dip, 4 slivers of bread, 2 and a half skewers of meat, and about 5 leaves of lettuce and 1/2 a cherry tomato. I dont know if this is a considered a banquet in Greece but in Australia when you pay per person ($52) you expect at the least a portion of each item per person. Might I add the 'chips' if you could call them that consisted of a grand total of about 1/3 of a baby potato cut into the smallest slices possible to give the illusion of quantity. I felt like i was eating my childs chips from their happy meal after going to McDonalds where funnilly enough we ended up afterwards as our insatiable hunger was not satisfied by the 'banquet' that we paid almost 200$ for between three people.

One of the best souvas I've had in years! One other thing that impressed me was the cleanliness of their tables. Souvlakis are notoriously messy to eat but I felt comfortable putting my elbows on the sparkling clean table to really anchor myself while chowing down on that delicious log of meaty joy! Good food, but we didn't let the rudeness of the bloke at the door who probably works at a club and didn't switch off from his usual bouncer duties.it's a restaurant mate, not a some skanky club in some dingy back alley

I don't normally write reviews but I think that Meat Me deserves this, I went there for dinner and our waiter was fantastic, he was so polite and so welcoming to me and my family. I would highly recommend this place the food is great and the customer service was the best I've seen in a long time their waiter made me and my family feel really special and we went home with a smile on our faces.

Top class Kebab dishes to try.

Quality is very good and matches the price of the dishes as well.

Pretty busy in the evenings throughout the week days and very crowded on Weekends.

Reserving a place would definitely be a good idea if planning to visit there during weekend.

Just a bit of a bothersome is that they charge you some percent of the bill amount as SUB CHARGE, if you pay with any type of Cards.

Of course paying with cash is possible and a wise thing to do.

Would definitely recommend this place.

Awesome service & magnificent food as always. Soft background music giving easy conversation without the need to shout.
