I’m trying to be fair. You need to make money, but with a premium offering you need to take care of your customer. I can guarantee you have less of them because you close when they need you. You’re now the only butcher from Portsea to Rye. Don’t close on public holidays because it’s not profitable. Man the fort and serve your customers or you’ll wean them onto someone else.

I Went in last minute for a few things and I was not told of the price as I didn’t think 4 snags and half kilo of loin chops would come to $98.64 As I wasn’t provided with a receipt either. Didn’t realize until I checked my bank notification when I was already back and cooking. By that time it was to late.
Highly do NOT recommend shopping here unless you want to pay a Ridiculous made up price.

Shocked that the price of my free range Xmas Turkey that I weighed at home -1.775g as I wasn’t told the weight, cost me $90! At $34.95 per kg as advertised on website it should have cost around $70. Standing with cash waiting to pay seemed to allow the owner to just make up a price in his mind to charge. I’m very disappointed with the dishonesty and won’t be going back.

The Moroccan sausages from this place bought me tears of joy. My only regret is that all other sausages will now appear bland and flavourless by comparison.

Heath is an old style butcher, his staff are friendly and his meats and produce is the best on the Peninsula!
