McMillans of Metung Coastal Resort

Worst experienced ever!
Booked villa20 at this place for my daughter's 10th birthday with her cousins from overseas.
First day no internet on top floor. Asked James (manager) for help and he came with housekeeper and looked and try to fix the issue and after they couldn't he said he will advise internet people to have a look tomorrow. Night plan gone for kids as they wanted to stay late and watch movie.
Next day manager advised there is planned outage and we said kids wanted to bake cake, cookies and have breaky, dont McMillan has any backup generator.he said no. 2nd day gone with no internet and no power. When power was back we (my son and i) try to fix internet and manged to do after 2 hours.thats after messaging manager about it and no reply from him.
2nd day meant to bbq but no power.

3rd day, we thought we will go to town and when back we do bbq. We came back 3 and storm hit and power outage again. Halfway done bbq and noone can answer when power will be back. Went to managers residence to have chat about this stay. And straight away he accused us that internet was our fault.wth.he was there to fix but couldn't. I asked for some kind on compensation but he refused straight away and said it's not his fault about internet nor about power and houses are owned by different people and he only manages it.nothing else.

What a disgrace that you pay thousands of dollars but not any service listed on website was provided. Will prefer to stay non powered sight camping rather than McMillan.

A beautiful and peaceful resort, just beside the coastal lake, lovely view walking along the coastal line, total enjoying this place

WOW. What a wonderful 4 days stay with my mum & Sister. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing spot. We enjoyed the boardwalk into town. We made the most of the facilities, enjoying the tennis court, games room & it was even warm enough one day for a dip in the pool.
The room was very clean & well appointed. I love it when they provide things like the basic essentials in bathroom & kitchen.
I would recommend you get supplies on your way in - shop in metung has the basics, but you’ll pay for it.

The place is very beautiful and scenic. We had a great stay. The house is very clean and well equipped. There are also many sources of enjoyment such as the pool, games room and tennis courts that make the stay even more eventful.

Our family stayed two nights here, an excellent experience, friendly staff with easy check-in, WiFi is surprisingly fast, kids playground, shallow pool for children, a true family friendly resort and my little three year old absolutely loves here, we have planned to come back in the future,

Love this place and the host. David is so helpful and the cottage is so lovely. The game room is ideal for families with kids!

What a wonderful place to stay. The villas are sparkling clean, well equipped, well laid out and thoughtfully decorated. We had the most wonderful stay. The staff member at reception was professional and welcoming. Keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed our two day getaway at McMillan's of Metung. Beautifully appointed 2 bedroom villa. Clean, lovely furnishings; a lot of thought put into the users comfort - all the usual mod cons including a dishwasher, dryer and washing machine to the small luxury items - like a nescafe pod machine, a milk frothing jug, and dishwashing tablets!
Gorgeous blue view from our balcony. It was delightful to wake to the sound and sights of kookaburras!

Villa 19 is just gorgeous! Incomparable views and an amazing place to unwind with all the mod cons. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Nice place for the kids to enjoy the weekend. We had a special request, David was nice enough to assist us and sort that out for us. Thank you!

We stayed in villa 1 which was right next to the building site of another villa just meters from us which was really noisy & we were woken up every morning before 7 am except Sunday for our week long stay. On more than three occasions we couldn’t even get our car out of the driveway because the tradies had blocked us in & even after many calls to the manager nothing changed.
We were unable to keep our doors & windows open because of the constant building noise or even enjoy the outdoor spaces.
We looked forward to getting away after two years of not being able to and were dissatisfied in our stay at this resort.
I recommend that management don’t book this villa until the building works are complete.
We looked forward to going back home for for some peace & quiet!

Came here with my family many times while I was growing up. Then proposed to my wife on a stay here as well. It's not the most modern as far as facilities go but I will always love McMillans.

Wonderful experience staying with McMillans March of 2021. Rooms were clean, quiet, spectacular views, boardwalk and walk to town.
